Had a bit of time on hand and was lurking around and also wanted to generate some discussion so I thought I'd post a review of my SS softs [One PPer had requested me to post a review long time ago but I got busy and completely forgot about it so sorry for the delay bhai]

Anyways, after having good time with my previous SS gloves I was assured that SS make very good and in fact probably the best softs in the world. I was always a fan of SS Limited Edition gloves but for one reason or another I did not buy them earlier, so however, after first missing my chance in getting these Platinum reserve gloves from Uzi Sports I made sure that I don't miss them second time as these are limited in the quantity. So I bought them as soon Asad Bhai got them for second time.

I got the gloves a while ago and I used them straight away. They feel extremely good and there size is UK Mens. The palm is very nice as it is soft and feels great. The gloves themselves are quite soft and comfortable. However, since they are sausage style they will require some breaking in and I will get them used to as I use them more and more.

Now coming to the pads, I bought them as they were green and my clubs kit was also green so I thought they would match quite well. So bought them straight away Uzi Sports got them, I had never tried SS pads so it was a bit of gamble. So when I bought them and wore them for the first time they felt a bit heavy and slightly bulky but I wore them for a period of time and also used them then after all they felt very very nice. Since I'm used to those pads they feel amazingly well, very comfortable perfectly moulded to my legs and offer top protection. The weight is not much noticeable now either.

So overall I am extremely happy with both pads and gloves and I highly recommend them, however, be aware that they will require some time to break in. Also the quality is superb especially on pads.

Please let me know if you have any questions :)

Enjoy the pictures :)

I used these pads for a season as they were part of our club bag and I can easily say they're the most comfortable pads I've used to date. They form beautifully around the legs and the snug fit more than makes up for any excess weight.

I've forgotten about my GM d3o pads after using these!

I wouldn't say these are the most comfortable and the best ones for me. The most comfortable and best pads that I have worn in my life so far have been Gray Nicolls Legend, in my opinion these don't beat them.

I was looking to buy these pads before I realised someone was going to Pakistan. Naturally the equipment is a lot cheaper from there. I appreciate it might be as good quality though.
Can I ask, what level do you play at to have the need for coloured pads?

I’d be interested to see these on, i.e. worn. To see how the wrap and whether they look bulky when worn.

I expected the to be quite light as I don’t thick they use cane? Am I right?

InshAllah you will get pads from Pakistan which will be as good as these, the MB Bubber Shers quality impressed me.

I play at club level, however, if there is white ball used then yes you need coloured pads however if its pink then you don't need coloured pads.

InshAllah, will post a picture of that soon.

If I remember correct then the front has foam, however, underneath that it is wooden canes

CD Bahi, did you get a change to take pics of these pads worn please?

SS softs(also bats)have always been one of my favourite. I just love flat pads. These SS gloves are unbelievable, both in terms of look & play(use).:quote:
I hope you enjoy with it.
