So I’ve been working out seriously for 2 years now. Have made great progress. (198 pounds right now at 6 feet)

However, over the past few months I’ve started getting pretty bad stretch marks on my biceps and upper chest. I’m certain it’s because of lifting. I started using neutrogena body oil everyday after showering and that helped a bit but they’re still quite visible. Any advice?

Not much you can do to be honest, has a lot to do with genetics, some people get very visible stretch marks .

Bio oil is said to help a bit if used regularly, but from personal experience it only helps marginally if at all.

Could get a consultation from a qualified professional for some sort of laser treatment or cosmetic surgery that could make it look better, the actual procedure might be on the pricey side though.

Honestly I was considering your last suggestion. Might get that done after I graduate

Used to be into weight lifting, but started preferring a lean aesthetic instead of a bulky/muscular one. Stretch marks were a concern for me as well.

However, now after a few years in an office job, I neither have a muscular aesthetic nor a lean one :yawn

I’m pretty lean. I’m not huge although I have a fair bit of muscle. I’d say I look like mark wahlberg in his younger days when he modelled for Calvin Klein

I got some on my chest when I had some josh to go super hard in the gym a few years ago specially on the bench press. Still have them but they have almost faded to the point that only my wife notices. :jk

lol, why u stressing abt stretch marks then bro. enjoy ur life :D

Once you start Boxing you will never think about these things, if you're from Qubec there should be plenty of decent gyms around; the place has a good Boxing history producing the likes of Stevenson, Pascal and the beloved / courageous Arturo Gatti (RIP, may god rest his soul)

Because they don’t look good. I see shaz619 and others point that you could wear them proudly like battle scars or a sign of your hard work but I’d rather not have them
