I don't like it one bit. Utter disgrace that this useless trundler has the best figures for an Indian. Somehow I have a very strong gut feeling that this will come back to haunt us rather than BD.

Read this on cricinfo and i am in shock any conspiracy theories about the game :amir

OP is deceiving...Best figures in ODI is by Vaas, then Waqar, Afridi, Mcgrath, Aquib, and few others I think....

Binny...the man even Ravindra Jadeja calls 'Sir'.

Oh Lord why Bangladesh, why? I would have taken a loss on this one. Binny! BINNY!

Stuart Binny? STUART FRICKEN BINNY? Even an associate team would've smashed him for 60+ runs!

Didnt some dude called sunil take 5 for vs South Africa for like 6 runs, he was no great spinner either afaik - kabhi kabhi tukka lag jaata hain

I would be surprised if Bangladesh could fix effectively. They might fail doing that too.

Even then Mushy may complain,"Didn't expect India to take fixing so lightly- they have sent only their C fixers here".

Binny and Jadeja will form the core of Indian bowling units for years to come ;)

In tests, Indians were used to playing 3.5 bowlers. Be ready for 3 bowlers now.

awesome video clip of the wickets

:))

Unbelievable bowling figures from Binny, even though it was Bangla in Bangla. I thought they would easily win the game with a few wickets in hand, but

When India scored 105, I knew something was there in the pitch.

Cos Bangladesh bowlers aren't great.

It was just too good to be true.

Though while they were batting, I felt India would lose before the famous collapse happened.

I think they went from 42/2 to 58 all out.

This should be the final full member match Bangladesh play, absolute disgrace to the sport, their lack of any substance is embrassing, it is exemplified almost every match and has never been improved upon since their inception, rather it is a blatant fact that they've regressed.

So much for India underestimating them.

Gala of cheap wickets for the new Indian sensation. He'll be the new internet trend in near future :sachin

Junaid Khan vs Stuart Binny thread is in the works as I type. Please stop! :yk

lmao this is great news. Indias bowling AR issues are solved
:yahoo: hopefully he'll get picked for the WC, at least then we'll have one less problem

If Junaid continues his recent form, then this could very well be a valid debate :nehra

Valid debate?

1st argument: JK still got better stats than all pacers Bharat Mata ever produced :kapil #fact #justsayin #youstartedit

Why can't Indians be happy about Binny guy?

I didn't see the game but this is a great bowling performance and an ATG would be proud of it!

Now Binny might get pickled for next series :108: :113:

He is already in the squad for the England tests

Now Bengalis have made sure he is picked for all of those five tests. We have got royally trolled.

Afridi's 7/12 trolled Pakistan, let's see how far this goes :afridi2

Bakwas .... Its such a shame even if he gets a single wicket....!! Why Bangla why..?!?

I don't understand the hate for Binny. He has just played 3 matches for India. He is not an Ishant Sharma yet.

He has Ishant written all over him. He is like Robin SIngh in terms of bowling.

Now will you select Robin SIngh in Test matches as 3rd Phast bowler and that too in England?

The hate for Binny is too much...The guy hasn't played that many games for India..He has a decent first class record (Not a great one). He did a good job yesterday and needs to be appreciated. If he fails he is going to be dropped for sure but before he got a decent run we are ready to dismiss him. It is the Indian team that is playing and we need to back whoever is representing the team and is doing decently. Some people here were even saying that they would take India's loss that to see Binny succeeding...Which is sad. Indian teams victory should be the utmost priority even if your least favorite player is playing. I hate Ishant Sharma and wish he wasn't representing India anymore but if he is picked I will hope that he performs well enough to win the game for India.

He is never going to be the third fast bowler in the test team....He will be played as an all-rounder if at all he is in the X1...India will for sure have 3 genuine bowlers in England (Bhuvi, Shami, Ishant or Aaron). You are trying to tell me that he is not good enough to be a supporting 4th seam bowler? Obviously he needs to bat better if he needs to make the team.

^well the thing is i didn't like Binny the way he gets in the team....!! Surely he's not deserving one.. Father's quote..

We cannot do anything about it. Indian team history is filled with examples like that. By that I mean that he is not the first to be picked that way. We know how certain players make the team ahead of others due to different reasons but only few of them succeed and get more chances. Even though it is frustrating but if he is not good enough he will not play too many games unless you are Ishant/Rohit Sharma.

mithun_minhas, if Robin Singh has played only 3 matches with a best figure of 6 for 4, yes I would definitely consider him for an all-rounder slot. That move may or may not turn out to be a good one. But don't hate him for no reason.

Wickets always trump runs i.e. 8/100 is better than 7/10.

yup! Can someone change the title of the thread, as its best Indian bowling figures (poor Kumble :P)
not the best bowling figures!

This performance has kinda trumped my awkwardness, when "No-hit" Sharma notched a double hundred and Joginder sharma won us the T20 WC.

Indian all-rounder Stuart Binny on Monday (August 30) announced retirement from all forms of the game. Binny, who played 6 Tests, 14 ODIs and 3 T20Is, last donned the India cap in the T20Is series against West Indies in 2016, in USA. A veteran player for Karnataka, Binny plied his trade in domestic cricket for nearly a decade before earning his maiden India call-up.

He also left the BCCI's system to play the Indian Cricket League (ICL) before making a comeback in 2009. He also earned his maiden IPL contract with Mumbai Indians following his return to the BCCI system.

Binny, who made his India debut against New Zealand in Hamilton, scored 230 runs and scalped 20 wickets in the 50-over format. Binny still holds the record for the best bowling figures by an Indian bowler. During the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh in 2014, Binny bowled a spell of 4.4-2-4-6 to bowl Bangladesh out for 58.

His Test debut came against England in Nottingham. Binny played a vital knock of knock of 78 off 114 in a drawn affair. He scored 194 runs and scalped 3 wickets in the longest format.

The son of the 1983 World Cup-winning team member Rober Binny, Stuart was part of India's 2015 World Cup campaign. Though he didn't get a game in the tournament.

In IPL, he was part of Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals (RR). He was retained by RR ahead of the 2014 mega-auction.

A Karnataka legend, Binny had left the state team for Nagaland before the 2019/20 season. He played two seasons for Nagaland as a professional.
