Didn't he lose his seat anyway? And then the 5 year period will be up by the time next elections roll around.

SC reserves judgment in Talal Chaudhry contempt case

Chaudhry is the third PML-N leader to have been convicted in a contempt case. Earlier, Nehal Hashmi and Daniyal Aziz were convicted.

On March 15, the apex court indicted Chaudhry for committing contempt of court. The bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan gave a charge sheet to the PML-N leader, who had denied the contempt allegations and pleaded not guilty.

On May 23, the country’s top court also turned down Chaudhry’s request seeking time to produce more witnesses in the contempt case.

The judgement in the case was reserved by the apex court on July 11.

Next elections should be held a couple of weeks before his 5 years are up, just to troll him. :afridi

I wish our judiciary and legal system were as focused on giving justice to the likes of Shaheed Naqeebullah and his family as they are about punishing corrupt members of PML-N

Seen on twitter today all the PMLN trolls trying to accuse IK of hypocrisy over the most ridiculous things because he's said he wants an austere protocol for him and his ministerial team.

Forget all these PMLN trolls, our so called "intellectuals" accuse Imran Khan of hypocrisy because he refused to live in PM house but has Bani Gala house  Not sure if they deliberately act dumb or they seriously do not understand Bani Gala is his personal property bought with legitimate earnings.
IK talks about simplicity from "TAX" point of view, massive palace like PM and governor houses, VIP protocol, delivering your meals on government helicopters etc are REAL issues. Where he lives in personal capacity or how he travels without wasting government funds is none of anyone's business.

Not to mention anyone who has been to Islamabad and knows anything know the difference between his Bani Gala house and the PM house.

His Bani Gala house is a luxurious 5 bedroom house on top of a hill with a beautiful view. That's it.

The PM house is literally a palace with 400 staff for just food and beverages. 5-6 of his Bani Gala houses probably don't add up to the PM house. It is completely something else.

It is really weird how his Bani Gala house gets treated like a mansion. Yes it is luxurious but Islamabad regions has a good amount of big houses like that. However, if you see NS's Raiwand estates or PM House you will think you're in a palace.

Banigala is far from luxuary; it looks very standard of what I have seen of it :)

Its luxurious compared to housing standard of majority of Pakistanis but doesn't even hold a candle to the luxury of the PM house.

I don't think we can turn PM house into an educational institution as IK desired because it's smack in the middle of the red zone and a university there will pose a security risk.

Don't forget Imran chose to make Bani Gala as simple as possible on purpose. It reflects his wish to live a simple saadhi life.

He could have made Bani Gala as luxurious as he wanted it to be.

According to the source, Talal Chaudhry was beaten up by Member National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Rajab Baloch’s brothers two days ago in Faisalabad.

The former state minister’s left arm had two fractures, for which he underwent a surgery at a private hospital in Lahore, sources at the medical facility said and added he also had bruises on his body.

When journalists asked senior party leaders, including Ahsan Iqbal and Marriyam Aurangzeb, about the incident, they feigned ignorance. The party is trying to hush up the matter.

However, some of the leaders, speaking off the record, confirmed the torture on Talal Chaudhry.

Meanwhile, his brother Bilal Chaudhry in a statement to the news channel said that ‘unknown’ people attacked Talal on Canal Road of Lahore. He further stated that around four days ago four unknown persons roughed him up.

Poor Talal beaten up for what comes naturally to him. On a serious note have those ladies that started a campaign on harassment commented on this incident.

FAISALABAD: A committee has been set up to probe an incident that left PML-N leader Tallal Chaudry injured in mysterious circumstances, local police said Sunday.

According to police, the four-member committee will record statements of both Chaudry and a woman who is said to be involved in the incident.

The committee was directed to submit an inquiry report within three days.

Chaudry, on the other hand, also spoke of the incident, asking media outlets to wait for him to "issue a detailed statement about the incident".

"The news about me being broadcast based on sources is not rooted in facts," he said on Twitter. "Until my position is presented, please do not run any news that may create misunderstandings and resentments.

He added that it had "nothing to do with any woman MNA" and requested the media to "understand the familial sensitivities pertaining to women".

"The honour and dignity of all mothers, sisters, and daughters should be taken care of. It's reprehensible for some government miscreants to politicise the incident," he stated.

Moreover, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah said an investigation would decide whether the matter was a violation of party discipline or not but warned that Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Political Communications Dr Shahbaz Gill "wishes to take the matter in the wrong direction".

Gill accuses Chaudry of harassing female MNA

A day prior, Gill had commented on the incident, saying Chaudry "harassing a female MNA is highly regrettable”.

“The government will take action and protect her from this thuggery,” he had added, ordering security be provided at the woman lawmaker’s residence.

Chaudry was hospitalised in Lahore last night following a mysterious incident in Faisalabad, which he had claimed left him with a fractured arm, with police saying the altercation occurred on at 3am on September 24.

In a video obtained by Geo News, the PML-N leader was seen speaking to police officers outside in a residential area and complaining of a broken arm. "They snatched away my phone and recorded videos of me," he was heard saying.

At one point in the video, he was also heard telling security personnel that they may "note down the contacts of all 'their' women and call over whomever they wish [to verify facts]".

Upon being probed for information, Chaudry said he had been called over in connection with party work but did not disclose whose residence he was at.

At the time, the Faisalabad city police officer (CPO) had told Geo News that no party had yet sought the registration of a case.

The brother of the MNA in question told Geo Newsthat they "have brotherly relations with Talal" and "condemn such violence".

I bet the women MNA feels safe with a party whose leaders include Rana the Qatil.
