Raina should urge the Indian cricket board to invite Pakistani players to take part in the IPL, that would take the sting out of the Kashmir stand-off. Honey catches more flies than vinegar.

Surest Raina's opinion is not based on facts here (Kashmir is disputed territory) and more importantly, is irrelevant but atleast he didnt throw his toys out of the pram and start crying and resorting to middle-school level personal insults...

On another note, is the Indian education system teaching its children to bury their heads in the sand regarding the international status of Kashmir?

Just like most Pakistanis are ignorant when it comes to the factual details of the UN resolution, and the Simla agreement that binds Pakistan to a bilateral resolution.

so you admit that Indian education system DOES encourage its children to bury their head in the stand regarding the international status of Kashmir as disputed territory..

Save it. If anything the UN resolutions exposed your lies. Every Pakistani had to leave you claimed. My oh my how wrong your were.

Lala still has the pulling power of a superstar even after international retirement. Swatting flies and hitting jokers for sixes!

The Legend lives on!

Afridi still smashing Indian trundlers into orbit ;-)

The only "dispute" that's pending for Kashmir is the legal demarcation and acceptance of the border. Any future deal between Ind-Pak is going to be largely based on the current LOC and minor alterations of the same.

For Pakistan, Kashmir is "disputed". For Indians, Kashmir is "integral" part of their country. Rest is all noise.

For the World it is disputed as well

Pakistan != World.

Even the UN has accepted that the only way forward for the Kashmir issue is a bilateral solution - as the mutually accepted Simla agreement legally obligates Pakistan to do so.

I know Pakistani govt has a difficult time following silly things like laws, but rest of the world doesn't quite see things the same way.

Suresh Raina has more credibility to talk about Kashmir and atrocities in Kashmir than Afridi for sure.

He is a Kashmiri Pandit and his people have suffered atrocities in Kashmir.

Will Afridi empathize with him?

He should give personal examples of how his family has suffered atrocities in Kashmir if there is any truth to that.

He is a Kashmiri Pandit. If Jews can remember the bitter taste of the holocaust then so can Kashmiri Pandits have the right to complain about ethnic cleansing in Kashmir

The UN recognizes it as disputed territory is what I said... Im surprised you are finding that difficult to comprehend

Open your newpapers and world newspapers . UN has again updated and just recognized over 139 terrorist entries from pakistan.
There are many UN recognized world most wanted terrorists operates from pakistan. Why dnt you listen to them then. S

100000s Hindu pandits fled Kashmir, this is not ethnic cleansing.

Don't dramatise or twists the facts.

You mentioned Ethnic cleansing.

Go read up on what Ethnic cleansing is, then learn the difference with Exodus.

Genius, mass expulsion is also ethnic cleansing...doesn’t have to always be genocide.

It is not like they left willingly. They had no choice. and it was done on gun point.

At least Raina's response has some meaning behind it. In contrast to Gambhir's gibberish.

Indians keep calling Kashmir an "integral" part of their country yet they have a massive army stationed there, which other "integral" parts of their country do they have to forcibly hold on to?

UN also accepts the primacy of the Simla agreement when it comes to resolving the dispute. I'm not surprised that you are ignorant of this fact, intentionally or otherwise.

So according to Blue Champion, the partition was ethnic cleansing.

Who ever said laughter is the best medicine, was 100% spot on!

:)))

Exodus of Kashmiri Hindus

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exodus_of_Kashmiri_Hindus

Do not trust Indian media, they love to sensationalise.

You are too hung up on the usage of the word but that’s ok I will give you the win on your grasp of the English language.

However .you are laughing at the plight of a 100000 people whose lives were displaced and they had to leave their lives and property behind. You exceed yourself with every post, amazing

They did not leave for greener pastures they were forced at gun point what is your point here?

Call it Mass exodus or ethnic cleansing...whatever you can call it..was it right?

He is a Kashmiri Pandit. If Jews can remember the bitter taste of the holocaust then so can Kashmiri Pandits have the right to complain about ethnic cleansing in Kashmir

But as far as I'm aware, he hasn't complained about his people being ethnically cleansed in Kashmir, this is something you introduced into the thread so it's a straw man argument.

You are the one who decided to use a sensationalist phrase like Ethnic cleansing for the sake of sympathy. You got caught out.

It's ok, you believe the partition was ethnic cleansing too. Your grasp of the English language is a site to behold. Even articles on Google are referring to an exodus.

Stay happy, champ.

:)

subtlety was lost on you..did you see his reference to how he is an ethnic Kashmiri in his tweet?

So Partition is an example of Ethnic Cleansing right?

What you fail to understand is the event you refer to in Kashmir is described as an Exodus NOT Ethnic Cleansing.

Keep it up champ.

You probably feel very smart coming up with comparison but that doesn’t make any sense...however let me try one last time

The concept of partition was one of mass migration of people based on religious lines....However during this whole process, if there were incidents of mass killings in certain areas or groups of people were threatened to leave, that would qualify as ethnic cleansing

So yes ethnic cleansing might have occurred during the “process” of partition.

What happened in Kashmir valley to the pundits is an act of ethnic cleansing.

I mean is this really that complicated to understand

You are too easy to expose.

Here's what you quoted:

The “mass expulsion” or killing of members of an “unwanted” ethnic or religious group in a society

Now you are trying to redefine the English language, as well as history, when applying this definition to the partition.

Reality is, you are bluffing, because the world sees the events you refer to in Kashmir as an Exodus.

:)

Listen reverse swing bhai, dont waste your time on Indian patriots.

As a resident of Indian occupied Kashmir, let me tell you what the reality is. First of all, the expulsion of Kashmiri pandits was well orchestrated by the Indian state and military establishment itself to give the entire struggle a communal colour and to carry out no holds barred operations against muslims after pandits left. The central figure of it all was the newly appointed governor Jagmohan who was behind a lot of open massacres of Kashmiris in which pandits and muslims both died. He once famously said that every muslim in Kashmir is a terrorist and gun is the only solution to this problem. There was violence against Indian army and their informers regardless of their religion. As per Indian government's figures a total of around 209 Pandits were killed which as tragic as it is, is a meagre number. While the same government puts the number of muslim killings at around 50k. However, you heard the word "ethnic cleansing" used by Indian hindus for only the pandits and they call killings of muslims as collateral damage.

Secondly Riddle me this, if the pandits opted to leave the valley because they were scared, what should ANY reliable govt. of the world do? Take measures to bring confidence and security to them OR provide them with government vehicles to facilitate their exodus? Even an idiot would opt for the former. Now Guess what the Indian government did. You are smart enough.

The struggle had hardly any prior precedents of communal violence. Character of society does not change in such a short span of time. Kashmiri muslims are one of the most secular muslims of the world. It has always been part of the fabric of this society.

Kashmiri pandits are not the run of the mill hindus which are found in India. They are distinct is a lot of way. When they lived in Kashmir, they used to look down upon hindus from India and considered them inferior in a lot of ways. They never liked to be associated with them. However, now as they feel left high and dry, what would anybody do? Obviously side with the ones in power. Thats the best option for them. However, this was not always the case. There are documented letters written by Pandit leaders in the initial year after they left in which they claimed that they were fooled by Indian politicians in the name of protection of Dharma. They appologised and felt the shame of leaving their own brethren to die. They explained that there are categories of Pandits based on class who are singing different tunes in India. The ones with properties in Kashmir are willing to return and admit their mistake. While the ones from lower class who had little to no properties here were the most vocal in crying wolf. One such letter was published in the form of an article in a local newspaper a couple of years ago.

The Kashmiri pandits are from among us. We dont need a patriotic Indian who doesnt know what relationships we enjoyed historically to tell us how to treat those who are our own. A recent example is that of one of the most popular sweets business, known as Shakti sweets in Srinagar Lalchowk, which was left behind some 25 years ago by pandits and run successfully by some other local people. It was handed back to the pandit family. The return was facilitated by the Kashmir traders association itself. Time and time again the Kashmiri muslims have helped in performing the last rites of their pandit neighbours. Its videos and news articles are out in the public to see.

Unfortunately you can't expect an opportunist and systematically brainwashed Indian to go out of his way and find out the details. Its always easy to accept something presented in black and white especially if it fits your preconcieved notions and beliefs. My advice is to not waste your time in trying to show light to the blind. They cant see it and they dont want to see it because if they see it, they wont be able to sleep in peace at night.

I am really mesmerized by your ability of making what was one of the biggest acts of terrorism in the 20th century into a conspiracy theory...A+ for effort.

So the Kashmiri Pandits were living in the land of milk and honey and then Indian Army and Governments conspired to displace the lives of a 100000 people to prove a point.

Idiots who are brainwashed to throw stones at a heavily armed Indian army and take up arms and endorse a fanatic religious doctrine will somehow invite Pundits to their homes and feed them Kashmiri Pulao...this is one amazing but ******** take on things.

Policemen were present during PSL, not army. Army only gave it's helicopters.

Thanks brother. Very informative and truthful. :19:

Did you even read the article (considering your track record?) Where does it say the Army was deployed? Plus the article is from Feb 2017!

At least learn to use Google properly if you are not going to read!

Take it easy bruv, he just tried to fill the blank with any available article in which 2 words were common " Army " Cricket ":)))

I urge you to keep posting and challenging their erroneous narrative as long as it's safe for you to do so. do not under any circumstance vacate the ground for the idiots to freely churn out the narrative. Why do you think they sign up year after year on a popular pakistani forum? Because it's the war of the narrative, if they can drown your voice and bore you out, they have done their job.

You can find similar parallels with the Pakistani doom mongers on here....

It always makes me chuckle that people from other side of the subcontinent whose only connection to Kashmir is due to British lumping them together and saying you are now the same..... someone close to Sri Lanka, Burma or Bangladesh lecturing Kashmiris on their own country.... what a joke!

Afridi has left the collective lungis of all Indians in twist :))

Everyone is coming out

Also what I find hilarious is the contradiction. Afridi is apparently a nobody but at the same time many Indian celebrities (let alone random nobodies) are ****** off at his tweet

According to every one Afridi and Pakistan voice over kashmir is nothing, Afridi is a no body but from where we are seeing, one single Afridi has dismantled India media, players, celebs e.t.c e.t.c

I won't be amused if they link Afridi's tweet to ISI propaganda :))

I was always baffled by the response of most of Indian posters regarding Kashmir. It always intrigued me that what makes them think like this. I have got my answer there.

On what basis are you claiming Indians are brainwashed?Make sure you know how religion works before you reply.

Wow, the ability Indians have to get triggered on the internet is something not seen anywhere else. I feel that's exactly what Afridi wanted from his tweet. Entire India seems to have read the tweet.

Hahaha remember Sharapova?

Did someone mention ethnic cleansing? Is being PAID to run away considered ethnic cleansing now?? The only reason Kashmir pandits are not in Kashmirs now is because they were taken away by the Indian government and given jobs and houses and opportunities all over India just so the Indian army army can launch a full scale Holocaust on Kashmiri Muslims and Sikhs without risk of any collateral damage to the Hindus. All this talk is adding salt to the injuries of Kashmiri people. May justice prevail.

According to every one Afridi and Pakistan voice over kashmir is nothing, Afridi is a no body but from where we are seeing, one single Afridi has dismantled India media, players, celebs e.t.c e.t.c

I won't be amused if they link Afridi's tweet to ISI propaganda
:))

They already did that :91:

Who tweeted this ??

Raina or his nephew ?? Or maybe his uncle ??

In any case why didn’t Raina tweet when Kashmir children are being murdered by Indian army or when Kashmir women are getting abused and raped ??

Eyes are closed, ears are shut and denial mode on full swing when his Kashmiris are butchered by the Indian police and army but gets heated as soon as Afridi tweets about the region.

Raina should urge the Indian cricket board to invite Pakistani players to take part in the IPL, that would take the sting out of the Kashmir stand-off. Honey catches more flies than vinegar.

Pakistani players played in IPL1. Then your board refused to grant your players NOC for IPL2. There was nothing Raina, or anyone else, could about it.

Facts.

Beautiful, well said. POTW.

What you have said is 100% the truth, couldn’t have said it better.

First kill the Pandits. Then force them to run away. Then spread the narrative that Indian govt took them away. Then try to change the narrative of a religious problem into a political one and cede.

Good that you have given away the fact that its a Kashmiri Muslim vs rest of kashmir issue and not a Kashmiri issue.

Only problem is that the terrorists and their supporters didnot factor in the Indian Army.

Kashmir is not an integral part of India when much off it is in Pakistan. Saying Mars is an integral part of the USA will not make it a FACT:yk2 I hope India stops terrorism in Baluchistan and KPK as well.
