SKY and Haris Rauf were the two players who brought unnecessary pressure on themselves doing political shenanigans on and off the field.

Result- SKY couldn't score and played as if he is holding the bat for the first time and Haris Rauf Mashallah getting smashed by the youngsters of Indian cricket like a nobody.

India was a much better side but seeing these two getting justice from the cricketing Gods was so pleasing to the eyes. Hope they won't get another game for their teams but knowing the Indian team management seems unlikely that SKY will get the boot. Haris hopefully has played his last game and forever live his life in infamy and shame.

We should rewind a bit. Yes I have criticised Sky too, but lets rewind.

He went into the tournament fine. Your government and board told him to go, and he went and shook hands with the ACC president.

After one handshake, his country turned on him. He was lambasted in the media.

And now, after he responded to get you guys off his back, you want to kick him anyway and celebrate his failure.

Isn't it a bit unfair to put so much pressure on a player after he was placed in a situation by your government and board?
 
Indian started these shenanigans after their failed military operation. There’s no doubt about it. We can’t accept Indian version of events, it’s always propaganda or made to make India look better.

SKY just the fall guy, not his fault. It’s your government that’s responsible.

I am not going after him for that. He was failing even before Asia cup. It is p urely from cricketing perspective. These little stunts make it look worse.

No you have been consistent with your criticism to be fair.

But I'm asking the OP how much can we blame the guy? I saw Indian generals (retired) tweet that what Sky did was shameful by shaking Naqvi hand.

And now, when he tries to cover his back, he is derided further.

Just let cricketers be cricketers, he said some wrong things, but politicians put him in that spot. They seem to be getting away without any criticism.

If a player bows down to the government like that they should be booted out.

Dhoni, Ganguly, sachin, kohli never gave in to the outside pressure or govt pressure. They thought of the game and behaved like a gentleman.This is not Pakistan cricket where you tow the line of political parties. SKY shamelessly towed the populist line and paid with his performance.. he prioritised media to his own team. That should be the beginning of his end

His priority was not his team hence his performance
 
Haris Rauf should finally realize he has a day job, and these antics look embarrassing for everyone involved if you can't walk the walk.

Indian crickets tweeted. Irfan pathan is expected to make dumb tweets yet is a presenter on these cricket events

Agreed. Rauf is also all talk no show. But every Pak fan expected him to bottle it. He bottled it on the grandest stage of t20s why wouldn’t he again lol. But him doing all the macho bravado bs just put himself under more pressure when he can’t even handle pressure already.

Only players who can handle pressure and don’t choke should be eligible to talk smack, otherwise be quiet.

Not everyone is Muhammad Ali to be able to talk the talk and walk the walk

That’s the problem, I don’t understand the hate against Pandya. Must be because Pandya can’t be controlled by GG just like Kohli.

Relies too much on ball coming on to his bat. His game on slow pitches has been completely exposed. I think it's age too. With age your reflexes and hand-eye-coordination decline

Yeah it's age related decline. His batting involves finding lots of angles and cross batted shots. That kind of game declines quickly once eye hand coordination starts to slow down

sky is captain of indian cricket team. think he earned it . he has never performed in dried up dustbowls. His strength is t20 style wickets and of course australia, england and south africa bouncy pitches

dont think it will affect him . harris rauf has not been a match winner and he probably should not be playing for pak anymore.

Relax , In WC he got PCT easily, this is Asia cup only bro.. you lost 3 Sundays to one team.. even the pressure of final , Indian team showed up.

A shocker is when it hasn't happened before. Bumrah had a shocker of a tournament for example.

I actually don't mind Rauf as a bowler because I feel he has the attitude of a fast bowler that you can look past the occasional mishap. But he looked tense during the first over he bowled and you knew it was zero not hero day for him today.

Not sure India fully turned up - I give credit to tilak and dhube - well played and they were the difference.
