Most Pakistan fans are intrinsically biased against the players who don't come out of their home cities/provinces. That's why players like Sarfaraz, Fawad, Sharjeel, Khurrum, Sami have nothing but hate directed towards them , whereas players like Malik, Akmal Bros, Umar Amin, Maqsood have nothing but praises and accolades sung about them...

I think all of these mentioned players range from poor to above average at best. :yk

He has been the most impressive among other Pakistani openers in PSL. If he continues scoring like that, he will be a must for internationals then.
 
finally Bismillah Khan showing his promise. Missed 1 year because of ban for fight otherwise he would have debut for Pakistan by now.
 
People hating on him should say Astagfirullah :moyo

Played well today, give him credit yaar. Same delusion stricken folks who won't be satisfied with any batsman unless he scores 7 sixes and and an eight in an over. This is the best we have, this kid and few others, we're not brimming with talent so cut the BS.

He was timing it well and had an eye for gaps. Reminds me of 12 years back, when our finest wk batman debuted :kakmal. Will Bismillah continue the legacy? I hope so :uakmal

Mediocre First Class and List A stats, has a decent T20 record though. If he carries on scoring then consider him for the T20 team

Why is there is such an emphasis for some fans of "stats" its not the be all and end all for selection.
 
Would be good for Pakistan Cricket if we can have a player from Baluchistan , Hope he plays and becomes regular in our t20 side , I think only one Baloch player has played for Pakistan leftie opener Shoaib Khan and he too played only 2 3 matches

I was actually very surprised that Sarfraz let Bismillah selected for play yesterday as Bismillah is a direct and bigger threat to Sarfraz's position in T20I team. Is Sarfraz not really that smart? or he also has a bigger heart?
 
Like I said earlier,

He's a Shoaib Malik/Younus Khan level DUD against pace. Even medium pace.

Good against spin.

Just like Sarfraz fans have been hating on Rizwan ever since he helped Lahore qualify for the semi final, and performed in every game with the gloves and with the bat... oh wait..
 
Very weak against Pace. Might be found out against quality spin as well

Still angry over the fact that Quetta Gladiators dropped the guy for no reason while insisting on the likes of Asad Shafiq and selecting the talented Azam Khan.
 
WK: Why Bismillah Khan cannot play in PSL while Rizwan & Shakeel can?

Rizwan is one of the worst WK batsman Pakistan has ever produced. He will lose his team matches again and again.

Shakeel Ansar is 40 years old and his batting is also very bad.

Both these wicket keepers are not good batsmen and not good hitters. Yet both of them are playing in PSL. :facepalm:

On the other hand Bismillah Khan is one of the cleanest hitter WK I have seen from Pakistan. Yet he is not in any PSL team. Why?
 
I hope he can play for Quetta one day again he is from their after all will be hard with Sarfraz being captain but I'd like him to play even just as a batsman

Can't find a reason other than bismillah is from Baluchistan
 
Bismillah is another Awais Zia
Nothing special about him atleast rizzu is excellent keeper

Is Bismillah khan best available WK for T20 in Pakistan?

looking at Sarfraz and Rizwan they definitely aren't great T20 players they can't even clear inner circle while Zeeshan Ashraf is Part time wicket keeper so best Available option for WK is Bismillah khan as he is terrific striker of cricket ball and if you see hos performances in T20 this year also they are very good. In match against Punjab he scored a Fifty just in Powerplay and he is also a opener so you can have extra middle order Batman.

Although I didnt watch the 1st innings today, and am making my judgement off the highlights package, he surprised me today. I remember him being a hack in PSL Season 1, but today he played proper shots.
 
Would love to see him get a chance one day to play for pak he is the pride of Balochistan

He plays spin we'll needs to work on playing pace better but he seems like a hard worker

Very good knock from Bismillah under pressure. It would have been good to see him against Zimbabwe.
 
He's playing some good cricket this domestic season. He's improved exponentially, shot selection, fitness, timing and temperament all look good.

Balochistan were tottering at 26 for four, before a half-century by Bismillah Khan. The wicketkeeper-batsman, whose only century in the ongoing season had come against the same opposition in the first round of the ongoing tournament, was unbeaten on 50 off 60 balls, which included six fours and a six.

His fastest 50 in PSL is still in top 4.

Its because he is from balochistan similarly Abdul Wahid Bangulzai who has more deserving than Saim ayub and Aarish Ali khan didn't get selected because it was Karachi Gladiators
