In few months the 2010s decade will be over.

Guess its probably the right time now to discuss the leading performers of the decade.

Bhaijaan's report card :-

Test team of the decade: RSA purely for the overall record but no team stood out. Was a decade of weak test cricket with teams taking full advantage of home conditions.

ODI team of the decade: India easily

T20 team of the decade: West Indies easily. They were hot and cold but won two world cups which is what the format is about

Test batsman of the decade: Smith easily

ODI batsman of the decade: Don't even have to name him

T20 batsman of the decade: The same dude above

Test bowler of the decade: Steyn

ODI bowler of the decade: Starc

T20 bowler of the decade: Probably irrelevant category




The next two verdicts would lead majority of the discussion in this thread probably and might disappoint a few:-

Cricket nation of the decade: India

Player of the decade: That guy whom i picked for ODIs and T20s above

Test team of the decade: England, number 1 for some time, won in Aus, SA, Ind.

ODI team of the decade: India

T20 team of the decade: West Indies

Test batsman of the decade: GOAT Smith

ODI batsman of the decade: ABDV

T20 batsman of the decade: Kohli

Test bowler of the decade: Anderson. Steyn's decline started around 2013-14 and he didn't play much in second half of the decade.

ODI bowler of the decade: Starc easily

T20 bowler of the decade: Malinga, quite a few candidates but the Lankan lion won his side the 2014 WT20 with a stellar display in the final.


Cricket nation of the decade: India, 1 WC, 1 CT, a few finals and semi showings. Number one test side for almost half the decade.

Player of the decade: GOAT Smith, modern day Bradman

Chokers of the decade: India takes mantle from SA and Kohli officially becomes king of chokers.

Surprise of the decade: In tests, Sri Lanka's series win in SA and in ODIs Pak's CT win.

Massacre of the decade: In tests many many whitewashes, impossible to single out. In ODIs Pakistan's CT final win, in T20s don't remember.

Heartbreak of the decade: 2019 WC final and outside international cricket Hughes' death.

Idiot of the decade: Kohli for his toss decision in CT 17 final. For continuous wrong team selections in SENA, for failing to groom young talent, for his stupid captaincy all round. He is also my crook of the year, just ahead of Dhoni. Nepotism, corruption and brand value protection above all, insecure weasel.

Useless coach of the decade: Shastri the drunken fool.

Useless board of the decade: COA controlled BCCI. Make that useless board of the century, thanks SC.

T20 bowler of the decade: Dunno, maybe Malinga

All-Rounder of the decade:- Apna Stokes Bhai and thora thora Shakib bhai

Cricket nation of the decade: India

Player of the decade: The one whom Bhaijaan is scared of naming

Captain of the decade:- Kane Williamson

Heartbreak of the decade: 2019 WC final

England's Messiah of the decade: Stokes Bhai

Test team of the decade: Pretty balanced, unfortunately not at a very high level and too much home dominance.
Will go with RSA, India and England at the same level.

ODI team of the decade : Australia-India.

T20 team of the decade: West indies.

Test batsman of the decade : Steven Smith.

ODI batsman of the decade : ABDV, played like no one ever did since king Viv.

T20 batsman of the decade: Gayle. No need to play at the international level for him to be the boss.

Test bowler of the decade: Dale steyn. One of the best ever.

ODI bowler of the decade: Starc.
