Misbah Ul Haq for IU. Check.

Sarfaraz Ahmed for GQ. Check.

Imad Wasim for KK. Check.

Not only are they wasting a spot but their love for their friends and TTFs is really spoiling a potentially good league of more deserving players. That's half of the teams tolerating and even making these sub par players captains. No wonder the PSL is suffering. It is a perfect reflection of the Pakistani cricket scene though.

he is not criticizing PSL, he is criticizing players, especially captains who are hogging a spot.. All three have been mediocre..

To be honest

Misbah has no business even playing he should have retired altogether from playing fullstop and come into the psl as a coach role like younis Khan .

Imad wasim is an average cricketer who was playing league cricket not long ago in the U.K. Which means he is not good enough for county level since no county team picked him he wouldn't have even been counted as an oversees cricketer yet still couldn't get a gig with no county outfit not even division 2 .

Sarfraz Ahmed is Karachi media mafia influence and has been forced on everyone from the national team to now Quetta because of him bismillah Khan is out of the team a true native of balochistan and a much better keeper , someone who can field in the outfield and a much more aggressive batsmen .
Even the has been ttf kamran Akmal is a better keeper batsmen than sarfraz and that just shows how average he sarfraz is

Only Shoaib Malik has been the performing captain till now. Even Baz and Sammy have been average. Sammy barely ever bowls and when he does, he gets hammered. Bats way too low when 3 4 overs are left.

Your comment was trolling enough but you went a bit too over the top with ‘even Kamran Akmal is a better keeper batsman than Sarfaraz’. Haaaaa

Unfortunately he is, in fact he was the highest run scorer in the previous version. All your smirking and rofling won't change that. Even in this edition I bet he is much higher in the ladder than specialist captain.

So far Malik is the only captain who has also been a standout player for his side.

True, however Malik always tends to shine with the rag tags and probably that's why he couldn't handle all the (useless) star power in KK in the first edition, something akin to the LQ team atm.

I think if Sialkot get a team next season he will most probably shift there (if MS don't win the league this year) as he got his start there and has won a record 8 domestic T20 titles with the Sialkot Stallions.

Oh yes, because PSL season 2 is the pinnacle of this sport and how we should measure batsmen. I'm pretty sure Shan Masood recently destroyed an ODI cup with unreal statistics, does that make him the best opener in Pak? I mean, let's ignore the fact that Kamran is the worst ever batman to have played consistently for Pakistan (hundreds of international matches) and his keeping was even more atrocious. Compared to Sarfaraz, who while limited and average, has done considerably better in his career not to mention led Pak to their best win in years.

In what way is he higher please? A domestic bully at best.

Dude, I said "unfortunately" as I am no fan of Kakmal as well. However if someone is the highest run getter in a tournament he is bound to get selected in the following edition. Also the thing is we do not have any better batsmen, the same TTFs top the charts year after year only to be exposed in international outings.

Yes, but your original point which I commented against was that even Kami is better than Sarfaraz which is completely not true.

In respond to your other point, well only a terrible selector would look solely at the highest run scorers and build a team around that - why do you even need a selector if that is your only criteria. Anyone with half a brain could have seen the following situation - Okay so this batsman topped the charts. Is he young - no. Has he been given a chance before - yes, multiple comebacks and hundreds of matches. Has he shown any glimpse of consistency or performance in those chances - nope. While making these runs, has there been any improvement in his technique, footwork, skill level, fitness etc to suggest a recall - no.

Okay, let's recall him for the west indies series... Result = continues on his career trajectory and performs terribly. Is dropped from the team.

Next domestic tournament - plays well. Repeat.

How can you know we do not have better batsman if we don't give them a chance?

The other poster is a troll. My point was that Kami will keep getting chances in PSL if he keeps getting runs in domestics and due to his connections and Pakistani TTF recycling culture. I don't want him to ever be seen in a green shirt again.

However, I do believe Sarfaraz has been a specialist captain for a while now and we should try to find a better replacement or even an understudy. Sadly none of the other WK batsmen have shown they are capable of both keeping and batting.

Sarfraz should bat somewhere in the top 4.
If he comes in to bat at 6 or 7 he will fail, it's proven at international level.

Shafiq is failing, throw him out, Sarfraz should open himself.

Watson
Sarfraz
Saad / Saud
Pietersen
Rossouw
Hassan
Nawaz
Anwar

Looks like a good batting line up for the current QG team.

Misbah should swallow his pride and sit out with Sahibzada replacing him. With Rumman returning it will be a perfectly balanced side with good bolwers and batting going all the way to 10.

I was shocked when Imad was made captain, he hasn't even secured his place in the Pakistan ODI team yet.

He's very poor.

Please don't compare Misbah with Imad. I know that Misbah isn't performing well in this PSL but he's still better than Imad, however I believe Imad shouldn't be in playing 11 & mark my word Imad will cost KK in future which will make them fail to compete in finals.

Islamabad: Misbah-ul-Haq - Injured
Islamabad: Rumman Raees - Injured

Karachi: Imad Wasim - Injured
Karachi: Eoin Morgan - Departed (no significant runs either)
Karachi: Shahid Afridi - Unfit

Peshawar: Darren Sammy - Unfit
