Ramiz Bhai - how can they NOT be clarity? How is your prized asset heading to the airport without telling you? Why was their ticketing issue?

I have no issue with leaders listening to and responding to the public. But social media is never the right platform unless it's totally watered down.

That said what was required here was a short statement explaining the situation and if they've messed up as we suspect - what they plan on doing about it. A transparent statement with actions is much better than dribs and drabs of gossip.

LAHORE: National High-Performance Center (NHPC) bowling coach Umar Rasheed will fly to the United Kingdom (UK) to supervise the rehabilitation and the bowling revival of ace pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Shaheen, who has been in the UK for the rehabilitation of his knee injury, which he sustained during the Green Shirts’ first Test against Sri Lanka, is now soon likely to start bowling under the supervision of Umar.

According to the details, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to send Umar to England to oversee everything, including the preparations for Shaheen to begin bowling in the nets.

For Umar travelling to the UK, the PCB has already applied for his Visa following his return from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

It is pertinent to mention here that the NHPC coach will also accompany the men in green in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Shahid Afridi has a history of lying and everyone seems to be going hard on PCB so that the PMLN government have an excuse to remove Ramiz Raja. Sad but politics has taken over and people are blind to it as usual.
Do you guys really think PCB are just gonna leave Shaheen to sort himself out? As pathetic as PCB may seem they just wouldn't do that.
Give criticism when its needed like selection etc. but all Pakistanis seem to do these days is criticize everything.
This, in my opinion, is why there is no net improvement ever in our cricket, we get stuck on these small nothing situations that puts PCB so much on the backfoot that they have to take short term defensive solutions which are often catastrophic in the long term.

Ramiz Raja isn't perfect but he has been our best and most professional chairman in recent times as he understands the game. It seems people want politicians like Najam Sethi back though.

I really doubt PCB was trying to save money. I just think its a case of incompetence and in this case a colossal one, because SSA is your ace bowler, probably 2nd top player after Babar.

It is in PCB's interest to track his recovery and how they thought they'd do that with SSA handling his recovery himself? He could've gotten a wrong treatment and hurt himself further, who would PCB blame then?

Ramiz should just accept this goof up and just move on and work on having a proper system in place to track fitness/rehabilitation of contracted players as well as players in the radar.

Point out a gross mistake regardless of who the guy is and what his political affiliation is.

The evidence is Ramiz is using the terms like "likely a ticket issue" "maybe" "lack of clarity" means he himself doesn't know what really happened.

Why did Shaheen have to arrange for the doctor, rehab and flight himself when he should have been the first priority for PCB. It's quite clear he wasn't happy with how his case was being managed by PCB(which it clearly wasn't) that he decided to take it into his own hands. Does this happen in any other board? Let me know if it does.

The fact that Ramiz is saying that Shaheen's fees would be reimbursed is a clear indication that Shaheen has been paying for it himself. What more evidence do you want?

Afridi isn't using the money for his own benefits as far as I know of. His foundation is a charitable organization that helps the people in need. I find it hard to believe crooks like PML N would donate this much to a charitable organization.
