I did not see most of the game. Just looking at scores,

A bowler was the best batsman today for Pakistan.

Some fans may see it as depth, but it's not great to see no one stepping up with primary skill. I saw limited portion when Pakistan was batting and lack of strike rotation was a huge problem for Pakitan. Once you hit 4/6, you got to take singles to make it a big over.

India is a better team and they will win 9/10 times against Pakistan right now. Gap in skill set is big but in T20 you can still do well. You got to try to play well and score 160-170 odd runs despite India having a good bowling unit. It was a poor game by Pakistan with too many dot balls. Lack of game awareness was visible and I used to see that appraoch from some minnows in past. Pakistan is not a top tier team now, but not exactly minnow in T20. Team still needs to perform well and if you get beaten by better sides then so be it.

Hope to see a better performance in future.

Pakistan is mentally shot. Their batters looked petrified when they came out to bat. It wasn't just one of them who was like that, it was everyone who held a bat except the tail enders because there were no expectations on them.

No doubt India is the better side. That's a lot of analysis based on one scorecard of a match you didn't watch.

It is not uncommon in cricket for the tail to wag and for all rounders to be amongst the wicket takers

Petrified or not, got to keep score moving. Can't be all about 4 or 6.

Fear numbs the reflexes and dulls the mind. That is what has been happening to them. It's like a mental chokehold and they just cannot escape it. There's no freedom and when they try to be aggressive it seems reckless because they are just not in the mental fight.

Apart from Fakhar & Shaheen throw the rest in jail along with Naqvi for being **** at there job.

You are most likely right here. I don't follow T20 that closely.

Batsmen looked pretrified and did not play ball on merit. I did not think India bowled that great to begin with.

Pakistan should play with no expectations and just go for it ball by ball. That way there will be less pressure.

Pakistan coach said that team was short by 20-30 runs, that seems troubling to me. 140-150 runs are not that great total. Instead of having 140-150 runs in mind, just try to score in each ball.

Yes you are right its not a minnow...

its below the Minnows , losing to minnows like USA , Bangladesh and even Zimbabwe etc...

the team its seniors trained is now beating it consistently Afganistan...

lets see what happens vs SL , Afgh and BD

Every time the coach and captain talk about their strategies, I get worried :)

We batted first because the pitches are tired ....
We were just 20-30 runs short ...
We played Fahim as the second fast bowler ....
Nawaz is the best spinner in the world ...

lol might have to start calling Shaheen our best batsman for real 😄.

This reminds me of man united when they use Maguire as their striker lol.

Problem with most Pakistani Batsmen is becoming obvious everyday. 90% of them are leg side Hacks. Saim is no different. All his Big Shots come through on leg side. Hardly has good cover drive or off side play. And it’s not Just Saim. We used to Have batsmen like Saeed or Amir Sohail who used to thread needle sized gaps in off side packed fields .Its Astonishing that we Do not produce Batters who can play on both side of wicket

A very clickbaity thread by @Buffet bro. This may be proven right for a few matches here and there, but over a large enough sample size, this holding true is extremely unlikely.

I have been more disappointed with agha than any other .Rather than taking responsibility he seems nervous at the crease and playing like tailender

There is no semblance of a batting plan and that is concerning.

I will not judge young batters (Saim, Hassan, Haris) too much on basis of 3 ducks or cross line sweeps. Frankly there isn't much to judge on since its a mixture of bad luck and bad decision making.

Senior batters Fakhar, Farhan and Agha have all been woeful though. You expect these 30-35 age people to have figured out their best playstyles and strategies. Even when they get in, we see no thought process to their play. All they do is soak up balls and try to relieve pressure by slogging a spinner who turns ball into them.

India game will be one sided SL is our boggy team in asia cup they are likely to beat us .Afghanistan if qualify will also bring their A game against us .

No one expects it to be true for a larger sample size, but it should be troubling for Pakistan due to happening in two consecutive matches. It means, players are not stepping up in their main skill set.
