Doubt if any 2 current cricketers from both countries have had such a connection:

From Amir's interview:

A: Absolutely. He's a big name and he is currently the best batsman in the world. Whenever we meet we always greet each other with respect. There is a bond and a friendship between us, a mutual respect and we are always pleased to see each other. He has given me a cricket bat as a gift on a couple of occasions, the most recent being at the Champions Trophy match in Birmingham. I think this sort of bond and friendship should be prevalent amongst all sportsmen of all nations. We are role-models and we can bridge differences and bring people closer together.

Mohammad Amir isn't in a position to be openly condescending to anybody in world cricket tbh owing to his tainted history but there is absolutely no reason for him to respect V. Kohli. He demolished that dude in such humiliating fashion in the CT 2017 Final that these words seem hilarious. It's like Warne called Cullinan the best batsman in the world, it's that hilarious. I'm sure he is subtly trolling.

No VK Said good things about Amir, gave him bats in World T20 and also recently I hear and has been supportive of Amir

Also his history is history now - he is free to say what he wants.

One day you should interview Mushtaq Mohammad, and ask him about his lifelong friendship with Bishan Bedi!

So VK should consider Amir an enemy off the field, because Amir got him out?

Players are enemies only on the field. Outside, they all get along pretty well.

It's the fans that want them to act like bitter rivals off the field too.

As I have said Kohli seems to be a top bloke outside the field of play. I don't understand why so many people dislike him

Being a matchwinner and a tournament winner, Amir definitely has the right to condescend to anybody. Yes he has a tainted history but history is always history. If he is allowed to play cricket and in addition to that he is a top bowler, he has the right to say anything about anybody.

Kohli respects all players no matter what country. Everybody gets along with him off the field

Barring Ghambir (who almost always seems angry for some unknown reason) I've always found that Indo-Pak players usually get along really well with each other and quite often I've seen them enjoying each others company off the field.

Just look at how Virat, Yuvi, Malik and a few other blokes were chilling together after the Champions Trophy final. They were genuinely having a bit of fun sharing stories and stuff.

Another example from Kohli's side is the bat he gifted to Afridi's foundation. Seems like a pretty decent guy off the field.

Harbajhan, Shoib Akhtar and Yuvraj Singh. I think these guys are a close group that partied a lot together in their playing days

Dravid is the nicest you would see among all. He went inside BD dressing room and congratulated them after India's loss to them in 2007 world cup.

Will we ever see Shadab khan and Hassan Ali hang out with Hardik Pandya? They seem to be birds of a feather these blokes do

For that they have to be at the same place at same time. Will happen at some point of time.
