There has been a lot of noise going on in media for right reasons over Jahangir Tareen's clear involvement in government affairs when he has been clearly disqualified from the Supreme court from holding any public office.

The buck doesnt stops here, but JKT apparent involvement involves a lot of conflict of interest and suspicious decisions.

Here is a video below of Shahzeb Khanzada where he takes Jahangir Tareen to the cleaners:

I personally never liked this corrupt guy and its clear that the guy known infamously as Imran Khan's ATM is clearly holding a lot of power behind the curtain. His power hungry motives were always clear when he propped up his son and did the whole Multan Sultans drama angling for the South Punjab CM position. He is the main part of the "mafia" Imran Khan keeps on talking about. Little does he know, he has a snake in his pocket.

Any views?

So now the powerful evil Army isn't running the show and it's the powerful Tareen?

I hope Khanzada can now prove it in the court of law.

What is wrong with you? When has someone ever accused of Army in meddling with the economic policy? Why are PTI supporters always trying to deflect? Why do PTI supporters act like cattle?

Khanzada has been sent the defamation notice. He is not the one who has to prove anything. The accuser has to prove his false claims which i am sure he will not be able to do so.

Actually in defamation notice, the person who does the defamation (Khanzada) has to prove what they are saying is true. If he cannot then he will have to pay Rs. 1b.

He has responded to each and every allegation in the program and is ready to take it to the court.

He needs to respond legally and not on his show.

Buddy, please see the video at least. They are responding legally as well. And i am happy that he did respond on the show and exposed Jahangir tareen for the corrupt hoarder he is.

PTI fan will never admit to the fact that Tareen is involved in massive corruption and is allowed to do so by Khan himself. Everyone knows Tareen is attending government meetings on the wheat and sugar issues. Everyone knows that Khusro Bakhtiar and Tareen are business partners and still he was given a ministry which is resulting in a direct conflict of interest and allowing both to profit.

Khan himself might not be corrupt but turning a blind eye to the likes of Khusro, Tareen, Shiekh Rasheed, and major frauds such as Malam Jabba and BRT means he is implicit.

Anchorperson Shahzeb Khanzada, in reply to the Rs1 billion defamation notice sent to him by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen, said he stands by the statements made in his television programme which he claimed were substantiated by documents and news reports.

On Jan 25, Tareen had sent defamation notices worth Rs1 billion each to anchorpersons Khanzada and Waseem Badami for making “false imputations” in their news programmes, demanding that the anchorpersons withdraw their “defamatory imputations” and tender a “proper public apology” in their respective programmes as well as “publish a contradiction of the said defamatory statement(s).”

Yesterday, Khanzada while refusing to apologise for his statements, dedicated a portion of his programme to refute the claims made by Tareen in his notice.

“In his notice, Tareen has maintained that we did not bother to reach out to him or to invite him on the show to get his comments on the hike in sugar prices,” Khanzada said.

Outrightly denying the allegation, the ancherperson proceeded to show multiple screenshots purportedly of text messages exchanged between Tareen’s assistant and his team, where they had tried to invite the PTI leader to the show and also asked for his comments.

“Any time we do a show, we make it a point to reach out to the person or department in question so that we can get their views. We asked Tareen to come on the show multiple times and sent questions and messages to his assistant and his staff members.

“We even offered to send a camera crew to his location after his staff said he was unavailable, but our repeated requests went ignored,” Khanzada said, adding that the topic of the discussion had also been made abundantly clear to Tareen and his team.

“On Jan 28, we reached out to him once again to talk about the defamation notices and the hike in sugar prices. His staff replied that he is currently travelling and that you should contact the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association for further information.”

Khanzada said he will respond to the notice in court but that he had decided to air a response on his show because the defamation story had been picked up by media. “Because this has been picked up by the media, it is our responsibility to inform our viewers about the realities.”

According to Tareen’s notice, Khanzada in his programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath, which aired on Geo News on January 21, had given the impression that Tareen was part of a “sugar mafia” and was “collusively involved or complicit in causing artificial inflation” of refined sugar across the country.

Furthermore, the notice said, Khanzada had suggested that Tareen was “managing or deciding” the federal and provincial governments’ policies pertaining to the production, sales, import or export of refined sugar which had led to an increase in the commodity’s price. It was also implied that Tareen’s interest in the sugar industry was “obstructing the due regulation of sugar mills and the price of sugar” by authorities.

Tareen said he was not a part of the federal or provincial governments and therefore, could not influence the policy-making process. The PTI leader in his notice said he had “no nexus with or any authority over regulatory institutions” such as the Competition Commission of Pakistan.

In a separate notice sent to Badami, Tareen took exception to being referred to as “corrupt” in the anchorperson's show 11th Hour, aired on ARY News on January 23. According to the notice, Badami had offered “no proof or evidence of the alleged corruption of or corrupt practice(s)” against Tareen.

Dawn.com has reached out to ancherperson Waseem Badami and awaits his response to the defamation notice.

This is some next level corruption going on. Terrible.

I am not denying that Tareen may or may not be corrupt, i believe the reason Asad Umar was removed was because he was not getting along with Tareen and eventually towards the end Asad Umar started objecting to Tareen's presence in Cabinet meetings and various govt meetings. Tareen felt Asad Umar was incompetent, too reactive and was unable to take timely bold economic decisions.

I believe the reason why IK loves Jahangir Tareen is because he actually gets results for him. Every time he has entrusted JKT with a task or mission, Tareen has delivered. Hard to not favor a guy like that.

My question to these news reporters, anchors and some fellow posters, wth were you all doing in the last ten years when the PPP and PML N took our foreign debts from $36 billion to $100 billion from 2008 to 2018 with nothing to show for it. That's right, nothing and that's because these people were all beneficiaries, to hell with the country.

I heard Asad did not want to go to IMF for loan. hence, he was removed from the position. Just heard not sure if it is true.

The post belongs to Corrupt but competent category and agree on it as well if it’s true.

Well this is not a secret for someone who has a brain.

JKT has a very important position in PTI, although he is disqualified.

Anyways let’s see what happens.
