The disparity between India's home and away record in Test cricket

^^ as I mentioned previously on here, it is an oft-repeated cliche which is not even close to being true. I asked someone else to define the start and end of this supposed decade but there were unsurprisingly no answers.

Even if I come up with the most generous period for SA which would be 2006-2015, we would end with the following count of weeks at #1

Australia - 46 weeks
South Africa - 41 weeks
India - 21 weeks
England - 12 weeks

All data from here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICC_Test_Championship#Historical_rankings

There is no continuous 10-year period where SA have been better than Australia as a test team.

As I just replied to R0H1T, there is no end to such claims.

A much better test side than we have ever had. Absolutely destroyed teams at home and the likes of WI and SL away. Won a test series in Australia as well.

Earlier India had proper Test player with the likes of Rahane, Pujara and Vihari. But they thought winning the World Cup on paper with 10 wins consecutive were better to win SENA away tours.

India's abysmal record at away venues continue, after an humiliating loss against South Africa in the first Test of the series against them.

Indian batting line succumbed to the pressure from South African pacers and were bundled out at 131in the second Innings. They eventually lost the match by a big margin of an Innings and 32 runs

India have never won a Test series in South Africa.
India have not won a Test series in England since 2007.
India have not won a Test series in New Zealand since 2009.

From SENA countries (in recent times), India only had successes in Australia.

india playing a dangerous game replacing test players with flashier batsmen, no doubt they have talent, but at test level u need grit to hang around when the games not going ur way, which is why pujara was so important, i dont think ive seen india give anyone a rope as long as gill has had.

not sure how indian first class cricket works, but there must be technically solid, tighter batsmen out there, you dont need many, you need maybe two, at the moment india has aggressive batters in nearly every position.

Which team won most test matches away in 10 years? Anyone know
Which team has:
1. The most resources
2. The most control over cricket (BCCICC)
3. The largest population by far
4. The ability to doctor their home pitches shamelessly
5. Regular test series against Big 3 nations

Yet you have 0 ICC trophies, 0 test maces and face constant humilations in SENA.

You can take solace in the small wins, but the reality is that your board is too busy cashing cheques than to develop a team that can actually dominate cricket the way you ought to.

Heads should be rolling at this latest test match performance. But you are happy because 'most test matches won away' and 'IPL coming soon'.

The reality is that Indian fans are being taken for a ride and you don't even know it.
