These bowlers allowed India to score 443/7 in the 3rd test in Melbourne in the first innings. 622/7 in the first innings of the fourth test in Sydney

In 2020/2021

These bowlers allowed India to score 326 runs in the first innings of the second test at Melbourne, they failed to bowl India out in the second innings at Sydney when they had 2 sessions to bowl at Ashwin and Vihari, they failed to defend 326 in the final innings in the fourth innings on a lively Brisbane Wicket in the final test

In 2024

These bowlers allowed India to score 487/6 on Perth of all places

These bowlers have now presided over 3 consecutive test series defeats at home against India. What happened to Australia's so called ruthless, high performance, no tolerance for non-performance, mediocrity culture? Why are these bowlers continuously allowed to keep holding on to their places for losing to India? If Australia lost 2-3 consecutive Ashes series at home, will they still keep sticking to the same squad of 15? Has Cricket Australia and Australian Cricketers just accepted that it is okay to lose to India at home, no problem?

This is Shane Warne below correctly identifying the problem i.e. these Australian bowlers might be good enough against the rest of the world, they are not good enough against India. They have had 3 series to prove themselves and they have failed.

The Australian selectors need to take a gamble and might need to consider benching Starc atleast and getting a fresh unscarred bowler into the mix. Throw something different against the Indian team for a change.

You are taking it to heart, there are 4 tests to go still with a Pink ball one as well which Aus has never lost I think.

When they allowed Yasir Shah to score 117, Amir jamal score 86 there was no thread like this lol If it were upto you you will sack the entire team , come with a new team that will lose even worse than this.

Australia can keep selecting who they want. I just find it bizzare that the selectors are sticking with losers who have ultimately kept failing against the same opposition at home for 3 seasons in a row. This would never happen if the Australian team lost the Ashes at home.

Heck the likes of Hayden, Damien Martyn, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz were dropped and move on by Cricket Australia after the 2005 Ashes series when these players could have made the argument that we had just one bad series after eternity, what about the 99% of the matches and series we have won for our nation.

This whole Cricket Australia and the present Australian cricketers (current and past) attitude that it is perfectly okay to be given an ass whipping by India at home is Bizzare.

Pakistan lost the series in those instances so these scores didn't matter. I am talking about Cricket Australia and Australian Cricketers (Present and Past) double standards with regards to defeats vs India at home in comparison to lets say the Ashes

Ponting average in India

1996/97 - 13.50 avge
1997/98 - 21.00 avge
20000/01 - 3.40 avge
2004/05 - 11.50 avge
2008/09 - 38.00 avge
2010/11 - 56. avge

If it were up to you he would not have played in 2008 & 2010 series

You don't change teams just for the heck of it lol Warne was a failure in India. Yet they played him. Murali was a failure in India they played him still. Lara was average in India yet they played him. You don't drop players based on previous series results. Besides these guys bowled wel enough to knock India out for 36 runs.

Cricket is a horses for courses game.

Ijaz Ahmed was an average batsman for Pakistan but he probably had the best back foot game of all Pakistani batsmen, he was a fantastic cutter, puller, hooker of the ball and had 3 eye catching hundreds in Australia. In comparison Saud Shakeel was selected for the Australian series on the back of some solid hundreds in the subcontinent conditions but was caught like a deer against the pace, bounce of Australian conditions.

No that would be stupid. You will kill the team gelling and lose every match. India did not exactly field Malcom marshall, Michael holding, Andy roberts at the gabba. They played Natrajan, Saini, Sundar , Thakur, Siraj. All of them had a grand total 5 or 6 tests. They won with that. India fielded three debutants. Rahul was not even in the original squad. He was last minute introduction. THey are not bowling to the same team that they lost to. These are new players.

Even assuming your bizzarre logic has some sense

Only common thing between Gabba test and Perth test are

1) Pant
2) Sundar
3) Siraj

That's it. Nobody else played that test. In that only Pant is a genuine batsman. They bowled to a completely new set of batsmen. Yet you think these 4 guys who have close to 1500 wickets have to sit out for some random rookies who will be thrashed even worse?
