Let's compile a list of all rounders to have played for any subcontinent nation and have the presence as well as genuine impact in winning/influencing matches during their playing days based on the format. They maybe ATG or not, doesn't matter but should have an impact and a legacy to cherish for.

Tests :-

Imran Khan
Kapil Dev
Ravindra Jadeja
Shakib Al Hasan
Vinoo Mankad

LOIs :-

Kapil Dev
Imran Khan
Sanath Jayasuriya
Abdul Razzaq
Shakib Al Hasan
Shahid Afridi
Rashid Khan

As of now, only these names deserves to be in the list. Hardik probably can get there in LOIs if he has a good World Cup.

Pandya is a better all-rounder than Razzaq and Afridi. Rashid Khan cannot be considered an all-rounder.

He is a bowler who bats better than your average tailender but he is not an all-rounder.

Pandya should definitely be in this list. I would rank peak Razzaq (1999-2004) above him but he had a rapid fall. Pandya will surely beat him in in terms of longevity.

No Ashwin in the Test list must be a joke. He has surpassed Imran as the best Asian Test all-rounder.

Rashid Khan is not an all rounder. That would make Ashwin a Test all rounder who has more Test centuries than Jaddu.

+1 Pandya, when fully fit, is comparable to peak Razzak of 1998-2004. But I reckon Shakib has the slight edge.
I don’t have a crystal ball so can’t speak to longevity, specially when Pandya breaks down a lot already

Irfan Pathan is probably more genuine all rounder that under-achieved. Closest to a specialist batsman.

Wow, you're doing great until you bring up examples like this one! Comparing Ashwin and Imran Khan is like night and day. Imran Khan was a test cricket beast, with a career bowling average of 22 and 25 against the mighty WI. Let that sink. 21 against the WI in Pakistan. Did you see that WI team?
His impact, dominance, and leadership were unmatched. He excelled in both batting and bowling, with a test batting average of 37, and 61 at no6, which is the second highest in test cricket history at that no.
You meantion performances against India are important. Imran had a batting average of 51 and a bowling average of 24 against India across 29 innings. That’s 2 World class players in 1.
Mentally he was a notch above even Kohli, who himself is a mental beast. Having seen Imran’s career and his character, even in hostile conditions like playing in front of 130k crowd in Ahmedabad, he would be excited and grinning at the opportunity to plunder.

On the other hand, Ashwin is a good spinner, but his records are marred by doubts due to doctored wickets in India. His averages in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa are not impressive. He doesn't qualify as an allrounder, and even he would likely cringe at this comparison.
