For me the best series/drama to be televised. Thing is tho, that you have to persevere through the whole first season, all ten (?) episodes to enjoy the pay-off in season 2 and 3. And I mean persevere, at some points I was thinking 'why am I watching this', but if you like great drama, great acting, please please watch this, apologies for the first season in advance.

8.3 on imdb, should be higher. Anyone seen it.

I watched it on sky, remember you are watching season 1 only to enjoy 2 and 3, are you willing to put in the hard work, because in some parts of season 1 you will lose the will to live a few times.

8.3 for a series on imdb is like 7.3 for movies. Was a choice between The Leftovers and The Americans for me and I ended up watching the Americans, very good until season 4 but seems to be going downhill after that. Especially hate the daughter Paige. Will put it on my list after Making of a Murderer and The Haunting of Hill House.

I think imdb should be a lot higher, perhaps season 1 drags down the overall score, tis only 3 seasons, done and dusted.

There is no way I am watching a whole season of mediocre tv just to get to the good stuff in later seasons. I think you must be underrating the first season otherwise it probably would never have seen a second.

Your loss. I wouldn't use the word mediocre, the acting and pace is just as good as the other seasons, you just don't know where it is going, I did a quick Google and it is consistently appearing as the best thing on tv ever or 2017.

Loved it.

I thought season one was very good, then seasons two and three were superb. The episode on the ferry starring Chris Eccleston was one of the best hours of TV I ever saw.

I seen the first season and thought it was good. Not sure why i never finished watching it.

The first season is good, not too much of a slog - it just takes a bit of time to get used to the slower pace and relentless dreariness of the tone. Nora’s episode in S1 where she goes away to the conference and meets Holy Wayne was brilliant.

I guess i have to watch season 1 again, to reappraise, did i miss something? Was i not in a good place whilst catching each episode, maybe a season one needs to watch in one fell swoop, rather than one episode per week.

Just watched a trailer on youtube. I think i might start watching this series with the mrs.
Only if the little one can allow us.

Such an incredible show. Truly unlike anything out there. I thought the first was excellent as well but the show achieved a transcendent level after in Season 2 especially with the episode 'International Assassin'

So is it still on Sky? I haven't heard of it, but if it's getting decent reviews it should be worth a look.

Not a show to be binged. Every episode is way too heavy and eventful.
