What's new

The long list of players that we have made to look good

We have no right to mock any other team spin playing ability when Patel and Somerville have embrassed us.

Somerville bowled better than I expected. The ball he got Sarfraz with was bowled quickly and still turned sharply and beat Sarfraz. He's a pretty good bowler.

Presenting Duanne Olivier....

6/37 in the 1st innings vs Pakistan at the Centurion

Olivier has a very impressive FC record. He has played s few test matches before in SA conditions and he bowled well so not a huge surprise to see him do well.

10 wickets for Olivier - Pakistan never cease to impress.

May as well be Laurence Olivier bowling and he'd probably pick up a few wickets against this outfit.

Olivier certainly wasn't looking as menacing as the figures suggest.

We handed him two fivefers while he was the 3rd pacer.

Quite frustrating when the other two guys Rabada & Steyn are one of the best and we handled them quite well despite the quality they possess.

Markhor fine we batted v badly indeed but what went so wrong ?

It wasn't Steyn it wasn't Rabada who broke the weak backbone of our batting but Olivier.

Last tour it was Kyle Abbott now it's Olivier.

I think it was that match which introduced Kyle Abbott to English County teams ;-) and few years down the line the Mega Kolpak deal.

We have a history of giving breakthrough to opposing teams newcomers.

Olivier. He is a very ordinary bolwer.

Before this series, he had 18 wickets in 5 test matches. Now, he has 22 in 3 test matches.

There's many Australian players out of form that need to get back on track. Good thing they got Pakistan coming up soon. Mitch Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine, Aaron Finch and many more. Don't worry boys, your spots are soon to be confirmed for WC'19

With an average of 23 and a five for in England, against England.

He is not ordinary and nowhere nearas bad as sme of the players made to look special by Pakistan.

Phehlukwayo was called by Sunil Gavaskar as Halwa Bowler when Ind toured Sa.Guess what we made him look like Ian Botham

No, we have not mad this guy look good,
Allah has made him look good.
Jammed it totally today and won the game

Lets add jamieson ladies and gentlemen

We probably wont hear of the name ever again after this series

Yeah Jamieson is good. Gifting Darryl Mitchell a century on the other hand...
Not to mention making a complete dud like Henry Nicolls look good after dropping him a 100 times

He's performed against India and WI, he's actually good.

But pakistan are making him out to be the reincarnation of a peak ambrose and mcgrath

11 wickets in the match for him

I'll wait on that
And we'll see after his asia or even Australia tour

If he fails than sure out him there

Anyone remember De Grand home from NZ, he is injured rn I think

He was bowling pies and we gave him a fifer :shezzy2

Tom Blundell is a wicket keeper batsman and in the 1st Test 2nd Innings, we made him look like he was Ricky Ponting and Viru combined.

Tino mawoyo - scored an unbeaten ton against us a few years ago in a test match. Done nothing before or since.

Soumya sarkar scored a 70 odd ball ton against us I remember. Not much else.

Also thilan thushara from Sri Lanka. Left arm medium fast kept taking wickets against us in one series.

Really ?? :rp
I used to hate Jadhav but Pak made him strike bowler lol

And Dom Bess is running through the “greatest Asian team of all time” in the first innings. I think we as Pakistanis have a tendency to criticize everything when there’s really no need to. We put up a score of 370 for South Africa to chase - 5 wickets or not, he couldn’t prevent that from happening.

Especially after we were 76-5.

Jayden Seales...Jayden who?

Presenting him with a nice little five-for! His first in test cricket, we have big hearts. :afridi

He’s riding his luck, some good shots but so far stars are aligning for him today.

Scored runs in NZ last year but has struggled since. Bowlers need to focus on stringing together those dots to him.

We are that bad that if it was Jadon Sancho bowling, we'd make him look good.

I was just looking at some stats and saw that Kraigg Brathwaite averages an insane 82 in the UAE despite having a career test match average of only 32.86

And now we add Nicholas Pooran to this illustrious list - the bowler who before today had bowled just three balls in international cricket and, I believe, just taken one wicket in all professional cricket ever.

11 years later and I still dislike this thread. Lol

Nicholas Pooran as a bowler will top this list with daylight between him and 2nd. He had bowled just 9 balls in professional cricket before this and has taken 4-fer already today

10-0-48-4 for Nicholas Pooran in the 3rd ODI, after having only ever bowled 3 balls in international cricket.

An all-time classic of this thread.

Blatantly obvious that Pakistan had never seen Pooran bowl before and had no clue what he was going to bowl.

They made him look like Shane Warne out there.

What an absolute shambles,

Avesh Khan bowled just two overs against us because he was very expensive. 2 overs 19 for 1.
So don't know how he qualifies for this thread.

Gifting a wicket and only getting 19 runs off his 2 overs is considered a loss. Hong Kong made Avesh score a bowling half century.

Jonty Rhodes

David Warner. Although he's a world class player he always ends his lean patch with a knock over Pakistan.

Marcus North comes to mind. I remember Pakistan gave him a 5-fer.

Batting wise I thought Marcus North was a high quality player who didn’t fulfil his potential. Too nice to be a part of the Australian set up.

Yeah. He was a batter.

But, it was surprising to see him get a 5-fer. He used to not bowl much.

Pramod Madushan

He's played 1 ODI and today made his T20I debut.

Pakistan rewarded him with 2 wickets

Was that Muzarabani or Joel Garner we were up against?

Marcus North Trophy

So, young Will Jacks joins a not so illustrious list of average to below-par / part time bowlers in getting a Michelle against Pakistan.

Tendulkar was known to get out to those young fledglings who debuted against him, but Pakistan as a team surely has the outstanding record for unexpected fifers/centuries being registered against them!

Could do with an edit or five
