Watching a documentary on Murdoch and I'm convinced this guy is almost satanic. He really has accumulated an incredible amount of power, holds huge sway over democratically-elected politicians and is completely unaccountable for his actions. The man frequently profits from lies and smear jobs.

A man who regularly profits from young women to bare all on Page 3 of the filthy tabloids he owns.

A man who is an ardent supporter of Israel, even to the disgust of his own family, and worships the ground that war criminal Ariel Sharon walks on.

A man who failed to sufficiently answer questions on phone-hacking - and exhibited 'wilful blindness' over the sordid affair, which saw 7/7 victims phones' be hacked - and described the public figures, who rightly demanded privacy from the hacks, who Rupert employs, who hound their lives every day of the week with their blinding flashlight cameras as soon as these people step out of their own homes - as 'celebrity scumbags'.

This is a man whose papers pedal out the most disgraceful myths about the unemployed, the infirm and the poor - that they are 'scroungers' and that the only way to deal with these issues is by 'less state intervention' and that the government should abandon any responsibility or duty of care it has for its citizens.

A man whose papers pedal out Islamophobia, homophobia and ironically is someone who supports relaxation of immigration laws ! Why ? So he can employ migrants as cheap labour to go and work in some of his filthy offices.

This is a man that colluded with Margaret Thatcher's government in crushing the trade unionists at Wapping. The actions of News International and Rupert Murdoch and the police who are in the pocket of Murdoch, were criticised - in particular the policing methods that were employed. People in Wapping were largely viewed by the police as sympathetic to the strikers, and were frequently denied access to their own streets and homes.

This is a man whose papers smeared the miners at Orgreave, and the dead at the Hillsborough Disaster.

This is a man who a UK Select Committee described as 'unfit to run a major international organisation'.

This is a man whose paper hacked into the medical records of the son of a British Prime Minister.

Is there any redeeming feature to this sickening creature ?

i know murdoch is anti islamic but i swear his company had a cartoon sayingsomething bad about israel and he got in trouble for it?

James Murdoch, the younger son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, has resigned from the board of News Corporation citing "disagreements over editorial content".

In a filing to US regulators, he said he also disagreed with some "strategic decisions" made by the company.

The exact nature of the disagreements was not detailed.

But Mr Murdoch has previously criticised News Corp outlets, which include the Wall Street Journal, for climate change coverage.

In recent years James Murdoch has also found himself at odds - politically - with his father, BBC North America correspondent David Willis says.

Whilst Murdoch Senior has pledged support for Donald Trump, James Murdoch has reportedly contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the campaign of Mr Trump's Democratic rival, Joe Biden.

James Murdoch's departure from News Corp would, our correspondent says, appear to grant even more influence to his brother Lachlan who is generally thought to share his father's more conservative views.

Rupert, News Corp's executive chairman, and Lachlan, co-chairman, wished James well in a joint statement.

"We're grateful to James for his many years of service to the company," the statement said. "We wish him the very best in his future endeavours."

News Corp also owns The Times, The Sun and The Sunday Times in the UK, as well as a stable of Australian newspapers, including The Australian, The Daily Telegraph and The Herald Sun.

Earlier this year, amid devastating wildfires in Australia, James Murdoch and his wife Kathryn expressed their frustration with climate change coverage by News Corp and Fox.

Their spokesperson told The Daily Beast they were "particularly disappointed with the ongoing denial among the news outlets in Australia given obvious evidence to the contrary."

Rupert Murdoch has described himself as a climate change "sceptic" and denies employing climate deniers.

But critics of News Corp pointed to its comment articles and reporting of the alleged role of arson in the wildfires as minimising the impact of a changing climate.

Born in London in 1972, he is the youngest of Rupert Murdoch's three children from his marriage to Anna Torv, the others being sister Elisabeth and brother Lachlan.

He was schooled in New York, going on to study film and history at Harvard University but he dropped out in the mid-1990s without completing his degree.

Gaining a reputation as the family rebel, he set up an independent hip-hop label, Rawkus Records, which launched the career of rapper-actor Mos Def and gave an airing to the then little-known Eminem.

He was formerly chief executive of 21st Century Fox before Walt Disney bought most of its assets last year.

One of the most revolting families on this planet.

Rupert Murdoch is stepping down as chairman of the board of both Fox Corp.
and News Corp.
, the companies said on Thursday.

The move will be official in November. Murdoch, 92, will be appointed chairman emeritus of each company. Lachlan Murdoch, one of his sons, will become sole chairman of News Corp and will continue as Fox Corp.’s executive chair and CEO.

“Our companies are in robust health, as am I,” the elder Murdoch said in a note to employees. “We have every reason to be optimistic about the coming years – I certainly am, and plan to be here to participate in them. But the battle for the freedom of speech and, ultimately, the freedom of thought, has never been more intense.”

Murdoch is stepping away from the boards after a tumultuous year at Fox’s TV network, soon after the company agreed to pay a $787.5 million settlement in the Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit over false claims that the company’s machines swayed the 2020 election between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Fox News also saw top talent Tucker Carlson exit earlier this year, followed by a dip in ratings for a period before he was replaced.

His move also comes a year ahead of the upcoming presidential election in the U.S. News Corp. owns newspaper The Wall Street Journal, among other publications, while Fox is the parent company of right-leaning TV networks Fox News and Fox Business.
