the results of o levels and a levels have been released and i want to ask that are their any other people who had had given the exams and want to share their grades?

my grades were not quite good as i was appearing the first time ever and scored:

pak studies; A
islamiat ; B
urdu second language ; A


i also want to ask about the rechecking system in o level

and can someone please help me for the other five subjects, preparation; maths English physics biology chemistry .

gave it close to 6 years ago but my advice would be:

1) prepare for your mid terms in december and see where you stand after you get the result. After the mid terms its time to get serious. Ofcourse i know ppl (including me for 1 or 2 subs) who had no prep going till march but then went crazy studying and aced the real thing but its just not a good idea.
2) for your mock exams (if you have), go in to take them as if they are the real deal.
3) time between mocks exams (or school finals) and the actual O/A levels, just do past papers and focuss on concepts you are weak at. This is usually in April, may. Doing these past papers is the best way to get prepped. Time them and dont have distractions. Make the environment as close to a real exam setting as possible.

Take tuition if you really struggle with some subject or if you just dont have the work ethic to do it on your own.

Should end up with straight As if you do this.

You go to Roots School? I've heard pretty good things about it, so I guess you won't really need tuition. Try to take a few extra classes in school if you really need to, and you're good to go.

Don't just depend on your textbooks. I think the best way to study is to look up everything the syllabus content asks you to online or just different books you could get from your library or something.

Do NOT take your mid-years lightly, I'd say focus on them more than your mocks and try to get everything done before you take them. When preparing for your mocks you should only need a little revision from your books/wherever, and be sure to practice as many past papers as you can.

And please, don't stress out. Bs are not the end of the world, and trust me, the more relaxed you are during your preparation and during the exam itself, the more likely you are to get good grades.

There is no such thing as advice/help. What works for other may not work for you and vice versa.

Remember on thing, anything above B is pretty much a waste of time. Surely it looks great and fancy, but practically, it makes very little difference.

Don't be very hard on yourself. Be thankful for what you have.

Can an o/a level student enter medical colleges without any problem because ive heard that these students get behind from the matric/fsc ones when the equivalency is done?

Yeah, that's why I did FSC after my O levels because marks are deducted during conversion and the Medical Entrance Tests in Pakistan (other than AKU and to an extent Shifa) are FSC based and its very hard for A Levels students.

Sure.

She got hers rechecked and got 3 Bs turned into As! But she was also 110% sure her marks were messed up because all her papers went excellent!

IIRC, she got the entire amount refunded after a small processing fee was detected

2014 year was my O levels Final result June. I had total of 2A* 4A 1C 1D. Thankfully got over A levels as well last year oct with A*, A and B in Accounts, Business and Economics. And that has really helped me clear ACCA F7 in 1.5months. So no more wait with independence day nearby lol

Last year,in O1 I got an A in Pakistan Studies,an A in Islamiat and an A* in Urdu.
However these papers are more important,as I need good grades to get into a good A'Level College here in Karachi.

I got A-A-A-B(further maths), at that stage we didn't have that A* shenanigans..

to be honest mamoon, you end up benefiting from the conversion.

Thing is in the final conversion, your o level marks are added into your a levels to fsc conversion. ANd scoring good grades in O levels is easy.

So if you have bad grades in A levels(DDC), you could still end up with a 70% FSC converted percentage. Because your o level marks were also added

Getting upto a B is never easy in A levels. You need alot of effort and practice to put up a good paper in A levels.

Roots doesnt care if their teachers r good or not, if their teachers even bother to attend a class. They dont care about anyones attendance.
The school otself lacks any discipline.

Plus all teachers r running academies as side business.
