Apart from Jay Shah, I don't even know who is who tbh.

Now that Jay Shah is in the ICC proper, who is the paper BCCI chief for starters?

sorry, what does it speak of? i honestly don't get it. It is just a group picture as he has taken over as ICC chief

so, the fact that PCB rep is not in the official picture released by the ICC has any significance?

oh okay, didn't even realize he was not there. Maybe he was not present? Maybe Naqvi refused to be in the picture with Jayshah? I don't think that is deliberate in any way. There is no way they would have taken a picture without him if he was around. We are reading too much into this without any context

There were earlier reports that Naqvi was promised to be the next ACC president after Jay Shah but it appears he has been duped.
no sir, nothing to be duped. ACC presidency is always through rotation. If Naqvi is there when the PCB turn comes he will get it.

Nothing wrong with aspirations. Even the ugliest want to be loved.

Problem arises when pakistan expects others to pretend the same. It ain't gonna happen.
I think you deliberately misplaced with india…😂

And therein lies the problem for the PCB!

It’s astonishing how BCCI really broke MCC’s century old hegemony over cricket and allowed all these docile brown men to be seen as important and allowed a chair in Cricket’s top governing body.

50 years ago, this picture would have been a bunch of white folks smoking cigars and having coffee at Lords rooftop. No Asian would have been invited to the meeting and they would just get a brief email about the decisions taken for everyone by few white folks.

The concentration of power today maybe in BCCI’s control but the game is a lot more conclusive that it has ever been in BCCI’s reign. There is no way President of cricket boards of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka etc would be invited to such meetings decades ago. BCCI has allowed them all a seat, a sense of pride and a lot of money they never got in MCC’s reign.

Pakistanis act as if MCC led world order gave them goodies. It’s the BCCI which took the World Cup out of England which was at one point the exclusive property of UK (3 world cups in a row hosted by them).

It’s the BCCI which helped Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan become major cricket nations

England did not even let Ireland and Scotland grow as cricket nations for decades. All the infrastructure and legacy and yet Bangladesh, Afghanistan beat the crap out of them on a regular basis. BCCI helped its neighbours big time. They helped grow the Asia Cup, even tried to collaborate with African nations (Afro-Asia matches in the past). Self centric England never tried to have Euro cup that could have helped grow the game in neighbouring European nations.

All this jealousy and hate for BCCI for all the positive transformations they have brought to the game.

Son of a home minister isn't worthy to take pics beside an actual home minister.
