Bharat is not good enough. He should not be anywhere near the team.

Certain people have the habit of wasting time money effort and opportunities on players who aren't good enough to be international players.

Our test team's ability has got diminished by at least 50% with Pant's absence! The kind of balance he used to give to the team and the fear factor to the opposition. Half the job was done before the match with mind games! Bumrah is also another big miss, our bowling loses its effectiveness by at least 25% due to his absence! Without these 2 players we cannot complete in overseas tests... And if we continue to with oldies and never groom young batters, we will soon start to lose home tests too...

Till Pant came around and broke down that fortress with help from Gill, Pujara and a ragtag bunch of fringe Indian cricketers, Australia had not lost there for 30+ years. What an achievement!

Now that he's broken the walls down, others have jumped into the breach. West Indies also broke the Ozzie back there.

To be honest, this is more a testament to Pant's sheer rise in world cricket around 2021 that this thread needed to be renamed in haste. Dumb haters were always that....just dumb.

My criticism of him was mainly of his performances in white ball cricket back then..he was still a gun batter in tests with hundreds in Australia and England on his very first tours..

But some brainless gits were going at him even after his iconic Gabba knock and I took them to town on this very thread.

We all know who they are. Hope pant is fully fit and mentally ready for Oz tour. He is such a key player for us.
