The Sajid Khan question: What keeps him from becoming an all-formats star for Pakistan?

Sajid and Abrar should both be in the ODI squad for CT & beyond

also Sajid/Nomi are must for tests at home and away, you have to have your best wicket takers playing at all times

at the moment for tests: Sajid, Noman, Abbas and Khurram are our 4 best bowlers (Abrar could be 5th) ... You got to have at least 3 of the 4 playing in SENA as well

He should be tested in upcoming Tri series

Who knows might do wonders in with white ball too

Sajid Khan despite being a key factor against England has been dropped from the test squad for the upcoming SA series.

But why? I understand that sa is a pace only pitch and that both nouman + Sajid cannot play together, but it makes no sense to discard him from the squad as a whole.

Imo he can easily replace Babar Azam in tests since Babar has been a deadweight for a while now.

Babar Azam should only play odi and t20. Let Kamran ghulam play at no 4 in tests and sajid Khan should be a regular regardless.
Sajid & Nauman should be there in the squad weather its at home or whichever part of the world, they can play one of them if its a pace only pitch. But replacing them with a specialist batsman makes no point.

I don’t mind seeing Sajid in the ODI format tbh.

However, he does tend to leak a few too many runs & boundaries.

Edit: as much as I like Sufyan Muqeem he could do with some Pakistan Shaheen tours. Could try him post CT’25.

and abrar takes 4, but the a certain poste is going to ignore that....

I dont understand how Sajid and Noman who are superior spin bowlers and batters than Abrar cannot even get picked by PSL teams. Is our cricketing setup that stuck up that they refuse to look past perceptions and narratives built up by PR mafia agencies?

Sajid is very likely to be in the ODI squad for the upcoming Tri-Nation series and he should be a part of the Pakistan squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy as well.

Mixing formats has been a long running disease in Pakistan cricket.

What has Sajid done in white ball to prove he deserves to play white ball? He averages 38 in list A. It's absurd to pick him for Odis.

That's the difference how a stat guru and a true followers of the game assess a particular players. Younis average is great and if you look how he achieved that average. Its similar to Imam's very impressive average in ODIs. Younis had one big quality for which I admire him. He was a very committed and physically fit cricketers. Had a poor technique and performance on against quality bowling on a supportive wickets but the moment he would find a flat wicket , he would make full use of it and would score big and would keep his average high .

For example, in 2016 4 test series in England , he failed in first 6 innings in a row but the moment he found the most batting friendly wicket in England , Oval, he scored a double century, a typical Younis and he kept his tour average at a very respectful 48. He scored 340 tests runs on the tour but out of that 218 in just one last inning and only 122 in previous 6 innings where wickets were not so flat .

That has been the story of our king of the roads through out his career.
How did you knew oval was flat wicket? Did you bat on it? Opposition team can't even scored 300 on same wicket but he scored double century and its flat wicket. Didnt he averages 50 plus in 4th innings? Didn't he one of best spin playing cricketer of all time? So I Don't think he sucks like you thinks. 50 plus average with 35 hundreds is no joke and playing for team like Pakistan.

Katapa must be given a chance to play white ball cricket for Pakistan i m sure he can be a very handy all rounder lower down the order.
