It's an open secret that the Sharifs bribe judges, and if that doesn't work they blackmail judges and if that doesn't work the make outright threats.
Maryam and daddy don't have a money trail for the London properties and need to find a way out of their convictions. So they came up with plan 2023, which is basically to delay all the cases until Isa is CJP and Isa being a "sympathetic" ear will let them off. In their desperation to get the Islamabad High Court Judge to resign from the case( so its delayed) they persuaded a crooked judge( Shamim)to make allegations against Ex CJP Nisar and he is supposed to have persuaded IHC to deny bail but the problem with this theory is that the judge he supposedly persuaded, wasn't on the case
It's time this whole family was hanged. These crooks are dangerous to the national security of PK. Enough is enough

I was counting to Imran Khan to severely punish all the crooks and end their political careers but Imran turned out to be a coward and a dud.Very disappointing! Pakistanis would continue to be at the mercy of Nawaz and Zardari. The is no respite in sight!

Yes, you want IK to lynch them. It's a shame you don't mind PK being murdered by Ind proxies based in Afg, apparently that murder is halal.

The case has taken an even bigger twist when CJP Minullah revealed that Justice Farooque wasn't even in the country at the time and an appeal wasn't even possible and the Noora lawyers knew this fact. I don't trust Minullah, he was the guy that asked IK to guarantee NSs life for 3 days and helped to create the narrative so the crook could escape.

More gems include the fact that this affidavit was signed at the same place where the Calibri font fake deed was created.

The son is saying that this judge was a close friend of NS and he didn't come to his own brothers funeral but did find time to sign the affidavit- money trumps blood. This mafia is blackmailing anyone that gets in its way.

People are predicting new videos from Maryam in a desperate attempt to stop the bail hearings. I wonder which judge they have snared this time. The one thing you won't get from her and daddy is a money trail

IK came to power at the back of this promise. What happened now? Jelly spine?

IK never promised to lynch them he promised justice and based his party on the same ie movement for justice (Tehrik-e-Insaaf). The day he lynches the Sharifs, Bhutos and their ilk his 20+ plus political career will be worthless as his main promise is about Justice and same laws for everyone not just the elite class. In the last 2-3 years he could have easily solved many of the problems his government has faced by behaving as a dictator and lynching his political opponents as he had the support of the public, instead he has tried to fix the systems instead of trying to increase his power and wealth like most of the others that came to power by force or democracy in Pakistan have done in the past .

Was any corrupt politician punished? Why was Nawaz allowed to leave the country, after all, Imran came to power on the back of his anti-corruption narrative. Has Imran attempted to reform the judiciary and police? We are still stuck with the incompetent and uber corrupt judiciary and law enforcement. Most people have realised that Imran promised everything but delivered nothing.

These threads mean nothing when we all know Imran Khan himself allowed Nawaz Shareef to leave Pakistan.

What accountability there is to exist?

I agree it was a mistake to accept the advice but as you may remember your friend Doctor Sahib was telling us that IK was trying to kill the duffer. I knew at the time the whole thing was fake and the crook was faking it. The fact that the crook owns all the judges is forgotten by the likes of you and others- Minulla asked for his life to be guaranteed by IK.
Remember your leader Billo( shameless is too kind a word to describe him after the way NS treated BB)pleading for the crook to be released or is that an inconvenient fact.

Today the "exposure" of a tape of ex CJP has got the mafia excited. The mafia get excited every week and obviously are blackmailing judges and journalists, let's see where this goes. Ultimately, unless NS and his crooked provide a money trail, and we know they can't provide a legitimate one- they will have to go to jail.

The Noora fake factory has been caught red handed once again. This band of thugs gets humiliated on a daily basis and yet Nani walks around free.

As long as Nani do not get to walk around important decision making in Pakistan then she can roam around anywhere in Pakistan.

If Nora had any evidence of Boys involvement then it would have been presented long time ago - we will continued to be blessed with comedy show from time to time.

These crooks have done everything but to produce a money trail. The Qatri letter, Calibri font, blackmailing Arshad Malik, a fake affidavit from ex Judge and a friend of NS and now this. Isn't it time someone deals with these thugs.

In exclusive evidence available with this scribe, Rana Shamim, former chief judge of Gilgit-Baltistan, took the oath and signed an affidavit in the office of none other than Mian Nawaz Sharif, trying to incriminate former Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar and honourable sitting judges of Islamabad High Court.

The affidavit, whose contents mention a three-year-old alleged incident, accused the former top judge of trying to coerce a judgment from a sitting Islamabad High Court judge against the ousted Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

In the evidence available, Charles Guthrie; a UK Solicitor confirmed that ‘Judge Guy’ was at ‘Marble Arch’.

The shady affidavit

Since the affidavit surfaced in one of Pakistan’s leading newspapers on November 15th, its authenticity has been in question. The journalist that published this investigative report has been called in for contempt of court. The hearing presided by Justice Athar Minallah of the Islamabad High Court noted that the former Chief Justice Rana Shamim, by making the stated allegations, had “cast doubt on all judges at IHC”.

The court also noted: The silence of Rana Mohammad Shamim for more than three years, despite holding the highest judicial office of Gilgit Baltistan territory raises serious questions regarding his credibility. The timing of publication of the news report is crucial because it related to appeals which were fixed for hearing, observed the chief justice.

On the orders of the court, the original affidavit was submitted a whole month after it was allegedly created. According to Rana Shamim’s statement before the IHC, he did not provide the copy or affidavit to the journalist who published the story and his affidavit was in a safe in London.

Not only has the affidavit and Justice Rana’s conduct drawn severe criticism, but it has also raised a series of other serious questions:

1. What made a former Judge sign an affidavit three years after his retirement?

2. Did he meet Nawaz Sharif during his visit to the City of London in the second week of November?

3. Why was his oath notarised in London and why in Hussan Nawaz’s Office?

4. Who is the potential beneficiary of this affidavit?

5. If it was a confidential paper, who leaked it (as enquired by the court) at such a politically sensitive time?

6. Does Nawaz have a pre-existing relationship with the judge?

7. Why is unveiling the affidavit at this time considered politically important in Pakistan from the Nawaz’s perspective?

Marble Arch - Stanhope House, PML-N roundhouse?

Stanhope Place, Marble arch was listed on Companies House records as one of the offices of Flagship Developments Limited, of which Hasan Nawaz Sharif is one of the directors and it has been the central meeting point of a lot of PML-N leadership in London with Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Stanhope House is where Nawaz Sharif’s important meetings are held and the place he held his last press conference before leaving for Pakistan and surrendering himself to the authorities. Following his release on medical grounds for four weeks – from which he hasn’t returned nearly two years later – he continues to make his party and public addresses from the same office. His meetings with public figures such as former Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, former Afghan National Security Advisor and known Pakistan-Critic Hamdullah Mohib, other public figures, artists and journalists have been at the same venue.

Until now, Rana Shamim has never answered the question about his meeting with the PML-N supremo. On every single media encounter outside a court in Pakistan, he responded with “no comments”.

But, in the evidence available, Charles Guthrie himself confirms that the Judge was present in the Marble arch. These revelations are important at a time when contempt proceedings are underway in the Islamabad High court against a Pakistani newspaper that had published the contents of the affidavit in question.

Guthrie’s statements on this expose

In the evidence, Charles Guthrie has confirmed three times, that Rana Shamim was present at Marble Arch.

Guthrie stated in the evidence that “the judge guy was in Nawaz Sharif’s office.” When asked in the evidence “That was which office? Like here in London?”, Guthrie responded “Marble Arch.”

In the evidence, Guthrie was further asked: “He was in Nawaz Sharif’s office? They were like quite cozy when they were in there?”

To that, the notary replied “Very… yeah.”

In a sensational TV appearance, Rana Shamim’s son Rana Ahmed mentioned that before the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, his father met Nawaz Sharif in London. And on the second occasion in November, Rana Shamim visited London to notarise the affidavit but “the question” of his meeting with Nawaz Sharif was never answered.

‘That’s one of his mates, one of his friends’

In the evidence, Charles Guthrie also said: “That is one of his mates you know what I mean. When Nawaz Sharif was Prime Minister “I will make you the head judge in Pakistan and that type of thing.” And if you've been the head judge, ruled over 10 to 15 years, so he was one of his friends”

Guthrie implied that Rana Shamim is a close friend of Nawaz Sharif. It is not a mere acquaintance but has a history of friendship of several years. According to Justice Rana Shamim’s son, the former Chief Justice had also served as Vice President of PML-N lawyers wing, Sindh.

The notary never read the contents

Another startling revelation that the Notary made was that he has never read the documents. In evidence available Charles Guthrie said: “You might be talking about. I haven't read them in enough detail these reports, but I knew it is something quite big to help Nawaz Sharif because I could just tell from the reaction of everybody around, I got called to do it. I couldn't. I was just too busy to actually read it and I just read it briefly but didn't read it properly. I have all copies on my phone.”

Evidence suggests that Charles Guthrie never read the affidavit in detail and that he was there just to notarise it, which he was called for. Charles Guthrie explained the nature of his job as Notary is to be an independent figure who verifies the identification and then attests the documents. The originality of any written content is not his responsibility. The evidence also suggests that when the affidavit was presented, he was not alone and was surrounded by people. According to Charles Guthrie, ‘people’s reaction around him’ clearly indicated that the content of the affidavit had a lot of value ‘that would help Nawaz Sharif’.

Several attempts have been made to contact Nawaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz for their version of the events, but there has been no response from any of them. Further developments are expected to unfold as court proceeds against the former Chief Justice in Islamabad.

The media is promoting the narrative yet again that a deal has been reached bw the PML N and the establishment and the pti govt will be sent packing in January 2022 as evidenced by the upset in the Peshawar Local Govt elections

Wonder if the PDM opposition will get suckered by their lifafa journalists again?

I was counting to Imran Khan to severely punish all the crooks and end their political careers but Imran turned out to be a coward and a dud.Very disappointing! Pakistanis would continue to be at the mercy of Nawaz and Zardari. The is no respite in sight!

Yes i wish we had Taliban like rule for this purpose where Imran Khan could act as judge, jury and executioner to meet all our expectations. Even with all these privileges they have successfully convinced the mases that they are biggest victims in Pakistan through frauds like Najam Sethi, Jang, Raza Rumi's Nayadaur and dozens of so called democratic warriors.

Just in last 2 months they came up with a fake audio clip of Saqib Nisar which was proven as fake as every single sentence was ripped from various speeches but guess what most people you admire completely accepted that fake clip because obviously Nawaz $harif the lone warrior of democracy along with Mullah Fazlu. No one could question Noorani without being called establishment agent and now he stands EXPOSED.
Then came Judge Shamim's statement which has been proven 100% LIE and his own son exposed that as judge Shamim is Sharif's close friend and submitted his statements with Sharif's backing and script.

Rana Shamim refutes claim of signing affidavit in Nawaz’s office

ISLAMABAD:
Former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan Rana Shamim on Tuesday refuted the claim of signing the controversial affidavit in former premier Nawaz Sharif’s office in London.

Upon his arrival at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for the hearing of the contempt of court case against him, Shamim was questioned about the report published in this paper stating that he took the oath and signed an affidavit in Nawaz’s office.

In his reply to the reporter, Justice (retd) Shamim said that he was alone at the time of signing the affidavit. The hearing of the case against the former G-B top judge is underway.

The affidavit, whose contents mention a three-year-old alleged incident, accused the former top judge Saqib Nisar of trying to coerce a judgment from a sitting IHC judge against the ousted prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

In the evidence available with this scribe, Charles Guthrie; a UK Solicitor confirmed that ‘Judge Guy’ was at ‘Marble Arch’.

IHC receives sealed affidavit

During the last hearing on Dec 20, the IHC decided to seal former G-B chief justice’s original affidavit, which was used to level serious allegations against ex-chief justice of Pakistan, till the next hearing on December 28 (today).

Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the contempt case, which was initiated after a national daily published a report detailing the controversial affidavit last month. Shamim appeared before the court during the proceedings.

A sealed envelope containing the affidavit sent by courier from London was produced in the court during the hearing. Justice Minallah told Justice (retd) Shamim that the court wanted him to open his own sealed envelope.

Justice (retd) Shamim's lawyer Latif Afridi said a new inquiry will be launched.

“Being printed in the newspaper is a side issue. Rana Shamim believes that what has been published is actually true,” the IHC chief justice said. Justice Minallah told Afridi that his client believed that what was published in the newspaper was in accordance with the affidavit.

The shady affidavit

Since the affidavit surfaced in one of Pakistan’s leading newspapers on November 15th, its authenticity has been in question. The journalist that published this investigative report has been called in for contempt of court. The hearing presided by Justice Athar Minallah of the Islamabad High Court noted that the former Chief Justice Rana Shamim, by making the stated allegations, had “cast doubt on all judges at IHC”.

https://www.dawn.com/news/1666897/ihc-appoints-ag-as-prosecutor-in-rana-shamim-affidavit-case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has appointed Attorney General Khalid Jawed Khan as prosecutor in the contempt of court case against former chief judge of Gilgit-Baltistan Rana Mohammad Shamim, Editor-in-Chief of the Jang Media Group Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, and senior journalists Ansar Abbasi and Aamir Ghauri in connection with a news report about an affidavit that accused former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar of trying to delay the release from prison of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

The appointment of a prosecutor in the affidavit case came to light on Friday when IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah issued a written order about the court proceedings held on Tuesday.

Regarding Mr Shamim’s affidavit that was delivered to the IHC in a sealed envelope, the order said: “The sealed package received through the courier service DHL from the United Kingdom was handed over by the Registrar to Rana Mohammad Shamim. It contained another envelop having the seal of DHL. It contained a document, which was confirmed by Rana Mohammad Shamim to be the same affidavit [that was] executed by him in the United Kingdom on Nov 10, 2021 and notarised by Charles D. Guthrie, Solicitor.”

The document was sealed again by the court’s registrar for its safe custody, said the order.

The court noted that the contents of the affidavit were mentioned in a report published in the English newspaper The News International on Nov 15, that is five days after its execution. The affidavit related to pending proceedings and the appeals preferred by the persons mentioned therein were fixed before a division bench on Nov 17.

The contents of the affidavit, as reported in the daily, cast aspersions on the IHC and its judges, and also prima facie appeared to be an attempt to influence the court’s proceedings, and obstruct and interfere with due administration of justice, wrote Chief Justice Minallah.

He pointed out that the document was not part of any judicial record nor presented before any other authority. It appeared that the news report had been published by the newspaper without taking reasonable care.

According to the order, the timing of the affidavit’s execution and publication of a news report soon afterwards was a crucial factor because of its consequences for the pending judicial proceedings and administration of justice.

IHC’s chief justice recalled that Counsel Latif Afridi had argued that the affidavit was not intended to be made public nor meant to be shared with anyone, let alone the reporter in question, Ansar Abbasi.

It had been argued, said the order, that no case of contempt was made out against Mr Shamim because he had taken all reasonable care to ensure that it was neither leaked nor made public in any other manner.

Mr Shamim’s stance that the affidavit could only have been leaked by the Notary Public in London, prima facie, raised serious doubts about his own credibility, the order said.

The silence of the former chief judge of Gilgit-Baltistan for more than three years regarding an alleged grave misconduct on the part of the former Chief Justice of Pakistan also made his trustworthiness and probity questionable, Justice Minallah wrote in his order.

It initially appeared to the court that the role of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Aamir Ghauri and Mr Abbasi was only to the extent of failing to take reasonable care before publishing a news report based on a leaked document. However, the stance of the latter two alleged contemnors is that they were justified in publishing a document, having no evidentiary value whatsoever, because it was in the ‘public interest’.

“This stance does not appear to be in consonance with the best international practices in the field of journalism,” the IHC’s chief justice wrote.

“It does not appear to be the function of a professional journalist to determine the factor of ‘public interest’ and then publish a document having no evidentiary value,” he added.

“If this argument is accepted then anyone including litigants would be justified to indirectly influence the outcome of pending judicial proceedings and resort to ‘media trial’ by using widely circulated newspapers or media channels.”

Justice Minallah also referred to a quote from the judgement of the European Court of Human Rights in the case titled WORM V AUSTRIA, Application No. 22714/93. The court had rejected the application of a journalist and had upheld his conviction and sentence for contempt, handed down by the Vienna Court of Appeal. The relevant portion from the judgement is: “This must be borne in mind by journalists when commenting on pending criminal proceedings since the limits of permissible comment may not extend to statements which are likely to prejudice, whether intentionally or not, the chances of a person receiving fair trial or to undermine the confidence of the public in the role of the courts in the administration of criminal justice.”

It will be a few apologies from the mafia and some judge that is **** scared will accept them and then on we go as normal. What should happen is that the Sharif family that are the beneficiaries of this affidavit, the judge who wrote the fake affidavit and the Geo/Jang who didn't even do the most checks about the allegations, should all be jailed and fined billions. But we know that judges are being blackmailed by the Sharif mafia and nothing happens.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that it will be a positive development if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) distanced itself from the Sharif family.

“It is necessary for political parties to change a leadership which suffers from moral and financial corruption,” said Fawad in a tweet.

He further stated that the PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif left his workers behind during a difficult time and sought refuge in London. “No one respects such a leader,” he added.

On holding dialogues with opposition parties, the minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) -led government wants to hold talks with political parties on electoral and judicial reforms. "These reforms are not possible without negotiations with the opposition," he added.

“But [the] PML-N and [Pakistan Peoples Party] PPP corrupt leaderships do not want to hold talks on anything except relief [in their cases],” claimed Fawad.

The minister’s tweets came a day after he claimed that four of PML-N’s top leaders told ‘someone’ that they should be considered to replace Nawaz.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the minister said that PML-N's top four leaders met ‘someone’ and said that the party supremo did wrong to the country and they should be considered instead.

He also criticised the opposition parties over their anti-government protests, saying the opposition was divided. Fawad claimed that except for the PTI no political party will be able to field its candidates on all seats -- 1,100 in total -- in the next general elections.

IHC indicts ex-GB CJ Rana Shamim in affidavit case

ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday indicted former Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) chief justice Rana Shamim on charges of contempt of court with regards to his affidavit case.

The IHC had initiated proceedings against Shamim and others after an affidavit was published in a national daily that accused former chief justice Saqib Nisar of influencing the case against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

On January 15, the IHC had summoned Shamim, bureau chief of a national daily Amir Ghauri and investigative reporter Ansar Abbasi on January 20 (today) for indictment in the contempt of court case.

In today’s hearing, Rana Shamim, owner of the newspaper, Abbasi and Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Khalid Javed Khan appeared before the court.

At the onset of the hearing, Chief Justice Athar Minallah ordered to frame the charges first and then proceed with the rest.

According to the chargesheet, Rana Shamim had claimed that the affidavit was notarised, sealed and handed over to his grandson; however, the affidavit was received via a courier service.

The sheet added that the former CJ had alleged that the affidavit was leaked from a notary public, yet Rana Shamim did not initiate any action against notary public or Ansar Abbasi.

During the hearing, the judge told Shamim that he “tried to scandalise the court and influence a pending case.”

“All allegations against you have been read out in the open court. What do you have to say?” Rana Shamim was asked while being indicted.

Justice Minallah further asked Shamim if he admits to the charges framed against him. To this, the former G-B top judge admitted to certain charges but denied others.

Shamim made an impassioned plea in front of the judge and asked to be hanged if the court considered him guilty.

The chief justice stated that the published article was not related to Saqib Nisar but to the IHC.

“People are being told that the judges of this court were compromised,” the judge stated, adding that a case was fixed for a hearing two days after the news was published.

“We have nothing to hide and have nothing to do with Saqib Nisar or anyone else,” he said.

He further maintained that those related to the appeals for whom the affidavit was published had not brought it on record, stating that if there was a mistake the court should be informed and action will be taken.

The attorney general “humbly” requested for charges on Rana Shamim to be framed, while charges on others to be postponed.

To this, Rana Shamim requested for an impartial inquiry into the affidavit, claiming that he “did not say a word” about the court.

However, the IHC declared the request inadmissible and also dismissed Rana Shamim's petition seeking the transfer of the attorney general as the prosecutor.

President of the IHC Journalists Association Saqib Bashir also appeared before the court and said that as per the opinion of the attorney general and judicial assistants, the criminal proceedings against the journalists should be postponed.

Subsequently, the court indicted the ex-GB CJ but postponed the indictment against others.

Ex-GB CJ Rana Shamim challenges indictment in affidavit case

ISLAMABAD:
Former Gilgit-Baltistan chief justice Rana Shamim filed an intra-court appeal in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday, challenging his indictment in the affidavit case.

The former CJ claimed that barring those who published the affidavit - accusing former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar of influencing the case against former premier Nawaz Sharif - in a newspaper and “indicting me alone is unconstitutional”.

Justice Rana Shamim requested the court to quash the case by declaring the indictment order null and void, adding that there was nothing on record to prove that he provided the affidavit.

Justice Shamim also made journalist Ansar Abbasi, the bureau chief and editor-in-chief of the said publication parties to the case. He questioned how the court will ascertain how Ansar Abbasi got hold of the affidavit if the latter will be excluded from trial.

"The main accused in the case was discharged on the assurance of private persons. The law does not envisage doing so on the assurance of private individuals,” he added.

Furthermore, the former G-B chief justice stated that the individuals who confessed to publishing the document were not indicted but he was, "despite clearly stating that he had not provided the affidavit for publishing to anyone".

The affidavit case

The IHC on January 20, indicted former Gilgit-Baltistan chief justice Rana Shamim on contempt of court charges.

However, the court deferred framing charges against the media personnel involved in the case including investigative journalist Ansar Abbasi, editor-in-chief of a national daily, and its resident editor.

The high court had initiated proceedings against Shamim and the media personnel after an affidavit by the former G-B chief judge was published in a newspaper that accused former chief justice Saqib Nisar of influencing the case against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

IHC CJ Athar Minallah warned that if it came to light during the hearing that media personnel had done this deliberately, action will be taken against them as well.
