Umran is a 22 year old baby and will easily surpass Rauf by the time both retires. Rauf also is a nobody in Tests and ODIs.
Question of time and experience - Umran has a lot of potential to bypass Rauf.

Umran has extreme speed. He is 24. Problem is that he hasn't come through the system. Couple of years through the system and he will gain the skills. Both are clueless bowlers. But knowing India, they always find a way to cultivate their talent.

How he uses the skills is a matter of brain.

Ik but bcci has a history of turning failures like rohit and Rahul into clutch playersHis state team is poor. So is his IPL team.He needs to find a better IPL team.
Thread about speed etc only
Very apt comparison. Think shaheen is better than srinath though in terms of ability. More skills. Sirnath was lightning quick back in his hey days however.Problem is, Indian management doesnt treat the express bowlers well. So, not sure how much mentoring and backup Umran will get. However, if given a chance, I am sure Umran will grow to be a pretty good talent for India. He will also have a good cushion in the form of good batting line up and good bowling partners, that Rauf and Shaheen do not enjoy.
In a lot of ways, Shaheen reminds me of Srinath. Great bowlers, just not good support bowlers around.
Agree with you. Umran is getting smashed in domestics. Most hyping him don't follow Indian domestic cricket.well umran is nowhere to be seen. rauf is well ahead
Its better to not be seen instead of getting hammered every other day in international cricket and losing matches after matches for your countrywell umran is nowhere to be seen. rauf is well ahead
yea no doubt. asian pitches dont seem to suit rauf. maybe umran would do well outside india too.Its better to not be seen instead of getting hammered every other day in international cricket and losing matches after matches for your country
Umran is 24. In the Indian system it will take time before he is unleashed.well umran is nowhere to be seen. rauf is well ahead
