The Future Tours Programme of the Sri Lanka National Men’s Team for the year 2022
Sri Lanka National Men’s Team’s Year 2022 International Cricketing Calendar will commence in
January with an ODI series against Zimbabwe at home, whilst it will be followed by the team touring
Australia, India, and Bangladesh.
The Australian National Team is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka for a cricketing series during June –
July 2022, and Pakistan will follow suit, before Sri Lanka hosts the T20i ACC Asia Cup during August
- September 2022.
Following the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka will head to Australia to take part in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup
2022.
The National Team will wrap up its heavy International Cricketing Calendar for the year 2022 with a
tour to India, which the formats to be played, still under discussion.
‘The heavy international cricketing calendar of the Sri Lankan team for the year 2022 is going to give
our fans a lot of excitement and fun,’’ said Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.
‘’If we can successfully complete the planned cricketing calendar, it will give a tremendous boost to
the game in Sri Lanka, an opportunity for our players to display their talents on the world stage, and
also valuable exposure for our partners,’’ he further added.
