The Talent Spotter : Ehsan Adil

I don't know why people live in wonderland fantasy world. He is the type of bowler who will never be a success in subcontinent specifically and world around generally.

People hyping him people give examples of Maggrath but don't understand the fact he played 80% of his matches in Australia englang nz and SA.
And even those in the erra where any thing above 250 was win able.

Look at austrilia now they drop bowlers because they lack pace. No one can name a single bowler from Australia NZ SA or England who is not capable of bowling above 140. Why the hell we here are bent upon to go to classic age of nice gentle pace swing.

Fed up with people supporting adil saddaf etc. Get over its time for some serious pace even India and NZ are fillding bowlers with serious pace and people here still think sweet little lolly pop swing is key to success.

Where is imran khan who advised waseem to go allout forget the runs get em out. Its all in the mind just like.
Old saying" kawa challa hans ki chall appni b bhool gia"

Really miserable situation hope some one comes out of blue and throw all those 130 km limit bowlers in ariban sea. Clean this mess pleas some on from PCB.

Why the sarcasm? it's cheap and free, I guess.
Your suggestion implies you don't rate him to do well across all conditions. It's also not very bright considering that the dust bowls of Dhaka will offer inferior opposition as well, so it will meet your objective of giving him an easy introduction in to cricket on helpful pitches. After all isnt obvious that every fast bowler in the world would be a world beater if he gets to groomed on helpful pitches.

what Jeep in free but because it gets the point across. It might have taken me 20 posts explain to you why I rate the guy.

also read the rest of your post and the conclusion is that I do not want to waste my time to try to explain much to you. That would be too much of an effort.

He doesn't have the Mongrell in him unfortunately. No punch in his bowling

lack of confidence is more due to lack of performance a case similar to Umer Amin. He needs one big performance against a top 8 side to get the confidence in himself.

I still insist that he's our best long-term option for number 9 and is comfortably better than Anwar, Bhatti and Tanvir.

He should not be discarded. Of course he wont be a world beater because he is Pakistani, but he is clearly better than those in direct competition with him.

I think you should stick to the jeep.

Simply not ready to feature in the World cup and lacks skills. Needs more developing. Trying to be positive though.

Needs a brain storming session to rid his mind of bowling line and length lollipops. Otherwise have seen many like him go to wilderness most notibal being Aqib javeed of world cup faim.

He's improved leaps and bounds; looks like the work with the ICA has indeed helped.

Albiet needs a bit of strength and conditioning work. Once he improves in this aspect he who should be in the national team ahead of dross like Junaid.

thats great to hear, I have always liked Ehsan and feel he can be real asset in tests. Fitness and consistency seemed to be his biggest issues.

He still slightly collapses which is causing him to lose pace and generate less bounce (considering his height) but hopefully he rectifies these issues with ICA and not a domestic coach.

probably needs a session with who ever worked on Irfan, those were his exact issues when he debuted vs england. Still retained them later on, but it was much improved come his comeback vs India

Sorry. Don't agree at all.

Couple of seasons ago his fitness improved, was collapsing less, was bowling quicker.

Talking with QEA 2015-2016 ie 14-15 months ago.

Now he is back to square one. Down on pace, down on accuracy, again poor legs, poor upper body, again collapsing at delivery stride like 2013-2014 hence losing alot of height and bounce as a result.

He has lost atleast 7-8 kg weight and is as weak as ever. Compare his today's bowling with his first spell for UBL in QEA final and you will notice all I have said.

I think he hates training and eating both.

I hope Ehsan's and Majid's career's revive.

His action has improved and that is quite obvious.

The collapsing is directly linked with his fitness, up until the point that he hits the gym he isn't going to improve in this aspect.

I think you are compairing his today's action with his Test Debut action. His current action to me is identical to what we saw in Qea final an year ago but down on pace and collapsing. Look at the carry he wad getting in QEA final and what he got today ? Clearly collapse has increased and pace has dipped. While if you are compairing with 2012 Ehsan than he might have improved.

Struggling.

Needs to get back to basics.

Feel he thinks he is better than what he actually is.
