What's new

The trademark Hasan Ali celebration!

It's like Goku when he broke the ice in that one Dragon Ball Z movie

Dare I say - better than Afridi's star pose?

One of the best celebration in cricket. Pakistani bowlers have SWAG and can run through batting lineups at any time.

It's incredible I love it, personally call it the flying upper cut; although that doesn't show up as much as the explosion :))

He copies Dale Styen i think. His bowling action also reminds me of Dale.

"Dua karien ke mein koi teen chaar paanch yeh walay action lagaon" followed by that cheeky smile :ashwin

Do you like it ? :ashwin

I love the Celebration. It picks up the team massively.

Having said that, He should have not disclosed the inspiration behind it to the media because already wrt Bombs we have bad reputation.

Firecracker could have been a better word.

:)) True, I never looked at it that way though :yk anyhow the not so PC term tends to be more of a slap in the oppositions face, psychological damage and all :akhtar

I love it and the other one is the flying upper cut, I saw it in one of the games he jumps in the air and throws an upper cut punch not the fist pump i love that one even more

Hasan Ali and Rumman Raees. Both of them have great celeys...dare I say, Rumman Raees is such a troll with that nonchalant pose after taking a wicket.

I like everything about hasan Ali accept that celebration

It's blatantly fake/scripted/planned etc and makes it look like his trying too hard to impress and make a trademark celebration

I like junaid Khan and Amir Khan spontaneous raw emotion no fake celebrations better

How is it fake? Umar Akmal's dabs were fake. That was so cringe when I did those. That's a guy trying too hard to be cool.

Hasan Ali has the skill and confidence and it looks awesome...it's come naturally to him. Same with Imad Wasim, he has this natural aggressive attitude about him.

It's fake cuz he planned it and probably practiced it in his bedroom in front of the mirror

However as long as he keeps getting wickets I don't mind the preplanned fake celebrations

His bowling though is pure class

Yeah, it's pretty obvious he didn't literally mean bomb blast. He meant to say explosion of energy but couldn't articulate at that moment.

Very funny...

His special trademark celebration after each wicket has lost appeal..he should have reserved it for special wickets of opposition.

Absolutely! I loved it in the champions trophy, since then, its just a pain.

Celebrations of Afridi and Akhtar made sense and looked good even after every single wicket they took, but this one's ridiculous.

I'd say Pakistani youngsters are the worst at celebrations, hassan ali tops the list followed by Imad's amateur celebration during the last PSL and Rumman Raees too.

I agreed with you until you put Rumman Raees's name there. I think his celebration is not over-the-top and kinda classy. If you want to talk about annoying and useless celebrations then you missed the main man, Wahab Riaz, with his mustache stroking celebration. Heck he was even doing it when the opposition needed 1 run to win the PSL final and he picked up a fluke wicket.

Maybe there was more to disliking Rumman's celebration. In the PSL 2 knockouts when he did it against Karachi Kings, I absolutely despised it, that smile was villainous but than Muhammad Amir imitating it, actually made up for it.

I support KK too and it is my team, but as they say, don't dish it if you can't take it. KK had Imad Wasim who was doing OTT celebrations so its only fair if someone else does it against us as well.

This was so cringeworthy it hurt.

Imad imitating Ronaldo's celebration was vomit-inducing. Even his teammates couldn't look. The worst thing is he was overweight when he was doing it so he could barely get off the ground.

Pretty cool. Much much better than that trundler rumman raees and imad wasim was not any good.

Limited Edition: Shadab Khan's version :yk

Wonder why this was the case. Probably this:

He should look for another celebration it's getting boring now. Getting injured while celebrating a wicket is both sad and funny.

Should reserve it for tournaments and or big teams.

Doing it against Zimbabwe is a little too much.

My favorite was the one against Mendis in the 1st ODI. He literally bounced the poor guy out of the team after he dared copy his style.

I also remember a debutant named Fernando copying Afridi’s Star Man only to have Anwar Ali blow it up in his face.

Yea the match where Imad hit a six off the last ball :imad

Somebody on SM posted a gem of a response to that tbh.

Both Afridi's and that the other guy's celebration were put side by side and captioned: 'A Brand vs Q Mobile'

:)) :))

May not bowl like Hassan but Hassan Ali Jr does have something in common
