This demolition was atleast couple of years in the making. We have been consistently pathetic for atleast couple of years in tests and odis. The frequent choking chasing modes targets in test matches. The ******** pace bowing lengths, the lack of proper odi spinner development, the lack of power hitters, focus on playing bits and pieces PSL heroes.
We have been constantly getting white washed in SENA in all formats and have also lost our fortress UAE since Sarfaraz took over.

A logical cricket fan should have seen this coming from a mile away the format of this World Cup is so relentless it will not allow Pakistan to get away with such mediocrity we have shown for so long now. I do not expect Pakistan to turn it around this time based on the evidence of last couple of years and hopefully after a humiliating exit we can rebuild and people start taking responsibility for our constant thrashing’s away to SENA rather then brushing them aside after every tour and repeating the same mistakes by the time next tour takes place.

Peace/

Coz it was expected against one of the top 5 teams not against the f-ing 8th ranked team who nearly missed out on qualification to this event.

We lost test series in UAE to NZL if you don’t make changes and heads roll after such embarrassing results then there is no hope.

How many different ways do people want to come up with to say we're a rubbish side ?

The world has moved on...

Normally don't post much on here but today was just beyond painful.

Let me preface this by saying I hope I am proven wrong. I really do.

This team is pathetic. They do not deserve to wear the green. The top order collapse was 2 airy wafts and an inability to play pace and bounce. And once the collapse had started no one had the common sense to drop anchor and try to bat out the 50 overs. Completely senseless.

On today's showing, England are going to eat these jokers alive.

Where did it go wrong for Pakistan? The world has moved on we are still stuck in the past. We cry that the two new ball rule is unfair and that modern ODI cricket is a run heavy snooze fest. Guess what, the game has changed and our reluctance to adapt is apparent for all to see.

Once this debacle of a world cup is over we need some serious introspection. Is this group of players seriously going to achieve anything in 50 over cricket or test cricket? Is 2 good spells in the PSL really all it takes to get into the Pakistan side? What is the point of our first class and list A circuit if we are not producing proper cricketers who can cope with the demands of the modern game.

We also need to realise in modern sports there should be ZERO pot bellies. Even if our team is full of mediocrities at least we should aspire to be physically fit mediocrities. It is astonishing that these guys are professional sportsmen. It is literally their job to be in shape and they cannot even manage this. A very visible symptom of the problems afflicting our cricket.

Simply sacking Inzi and replacing him with Amir Sohail and sacking Mickey for another **** or apna coach is not going to solve our problems. Some deeper change is needed.

You know PCT have really f-ed up when you see 20 threads complaining about the same thing.

You cant grow apples in the desert and you cant win cricket matches if there is no talent available

Well said. This team is average . Our fans need to accept this. We need to change domestic cricket and also makes changes a grassroots levels.

This team is average and clueless!

Remember Australia fired Mickey and won the world cup!

I think the fact that Pakistani players cannot take part in IPL has led to its decline imo.. It is unfortunate, I wish it wasnt so, however it is what it is. Pakistan needs to find some other way to bring themselves up, at the current rate in a matter of time Afghanistan will become a better side than Pak.....

Afghanistan is already a better side than Pak. Pakistanis & ICC ranking system is not ready yet to accept it.

Pakistani fans at it again.
No they're not a better side.
If they were playing against Russell today I'm sure they'd been 70 all out.

You cultivate talent. We have been in a lumpy, chaotic state for a while now. Time to take the axe to the PCB and the entire domestic structure that sits downstream.

Pak is behind other teams in every part of the game. Psychologically, Pak Cricket is stuck in 1990's mode that can be seen when we keep talking about stars from that era. Until yhe root problem that is our first class game is addressed we will continue to be also-ran's well behind the other top sides. Our fans who keep hailing about the likes of Babar Azam need a reality check. I can only assume that they are easily impressed teen's who know nothing about the game. Sacking the coach or replacing the captain would be like covering cracks with paper. We have to deal with the disease here not the symptoms, it will take years for Pak Cricket to be healed.

If this team starts to pull off a few wins and this ends up being a fluke loss, this thread is gonna look foolish. No need to go extreme negative yet. Our batting just consistently put up 300+ scores against the favorites England. Let’s give them 3 matches before we start burning our house down.
