heard Qadir uttering some non sense on TV this is what he said

-"There should be an inquiry on Rizwan's is selection in the side ahead of Umar Akmal and Asad."

-"Mickey Arthur is the most incompetent guy to be the coach of the National side."

Don't these ex-players thinks before they talk??
 
LOL. While i am also of the opinion that umar should be selected ahead of rizwan but the way qadir puts it is ridiculous.
 
Though theres a conflict of interest with Akmal jr for Qadir
 
I repeat. Qadir is an embarrassment whenever he opens his mouth
 
it seems that pak cricket vultures (mohsin khan, abdul qadir, sarfaraz nawaz yousuf etc type players will start descending on Mickey arthur en masse very soon

hopefully he doesnt pay any attention to it

apparently geoff lawson and before him woolmer used to be very affected by it

This shameless individual should keep his mouth shut. Embarrassing. Should for a start enquire how his son was batting at 5 yesterday. Looked a genuine tailender and even the commentators were laughing.
 
Does this have anything do with the fact that Rizwan has taken Qadir's damads place in the side?

He along with Sarfraz did so well as cricketers but what a way to ruin ones legecy. I blame masssla media too for giving them the air time..
I would like to see Umar in the side too ,i think Sarfraz should open.. Azhar should be benched for the dead rubber

Hahaha not unexpected

I'm not entirely sure whether it was him or Mohsin Khan but once he was arguing for a player (Kamran Akmal iirc) for a spot in the national side but the whole case was against him. He ran out of arguments and just simply said that the player should be in the team because he is a senior and deserves it :))
 
So, looks like Malik has passed the Qadir test, now time for Rizwan.

These people can't even talk properly - without naming anyone, he can explain why Umar should be in playing XI on pure cricket reasons. Education helps.....

let me make it very clear for Qadir here.

first of all rizwan has been in the team for probably more than a year, he's got everything, patience with the bat, fitness, can keep, and is always out of trouble. where as his relative umar akmal, there should be an inquire on him as he didn't do anything to be in the odi squad all umar akmal did was score some runs in national t20 and based on that he got into the odi sqaud? shouldn't that be inquired? how can you get into odi based on t20 innings? pcb gave umar akmal 100's of chances but what did he achieve of that? nothing. so what are the selectors and coach going to do, just play umar akmal on the bases of that he is "talented"? and no one else should be giving a chance because akmal is talented? one of the main reason akmal never improves as he believes he is in the team just based on talent and he takes full advantage of that, the day akmal realises that he cannot stay in the team based so his soo called talent and than he will only improve. I am glad kevin pieterson is not his relative otherwise he probably would have nuked ECB.

Actually he is. You throw him any question even loadshedding problems and he will ultimately link it to the coach..:)) he needs his job back desperately but unlike Qadir he is more rational most of the times.
 
I would be very tempted to drop Umar Akmal from the ODI squad just to teach a lesson that the merit will not be compromised and teamwork is extremely important.
 
Does qadir say anything positive? This is seriously embarrassing from him and for akmal

Agree, Umar should have been be in ahead of Rizwan IMO but FGS Qadir, have you heard a thing called manners and politeness .
 
Why havent we come to terms with the fact that a coach doesnt have to be a good cricket player?
 
Just heard the video, unbelievable language , Qadir is not doing any favor to his son in law, creating bad blood with Mickey.
 
The Akmals are so easy to hate. Mainly because they politicize everything and anytime they are out of the team it's a personal injustice.

Having family members putting statements like that isn't going to reflect well and is creating an unnecessary controversy. Clearly Umar Akmal hasn't learned from his previous misdemeanors and maybe letting him ply his trade in domestic cricket for the rest of his career won't be such a bad idea.

Sarfraz is the best thing to happen to Pakistan cricket for years because he got rid of at least two Akmals while the third can no deceive us into believing that he is a wicket keeper batsman.
 
There should be an inquiry into you for shamelessly putting down a deserving batsman for the sake of your son in law.
 
Bowlers are safe at least. It's top 7 who will keep coming under Axe of Qadir for non existing reasons.

UAkmal should be dropped as this is going to poison the dressing room atmosphere which has been good for the last 2-3 series.
I like Umar but don't think we should sacrifice the whole team for his talent. Btw the op should take part of the blame if something does happen as without him posting on pakpassion Arthur wouldn't know about it or understand it :-D
 
Qadir really needs to be coach to clear up this mess. It's difficult though because we also desperately need him as captain as well as a front line spinner. Oh and PCB chairman. Hence we find ourselves in this dilemma.

What has he posted that is incorrect ?

MHK has repeatedly over the last 3-4 years used the 3-0 whitewash over England in 2012 as a plug to promote himself as Pakistani coach again, is that not being a vulture ?

He has always criticised the coach at the time, What more, Waqar and now probably Arthur.
 
Lol! I feel really bad for Rizwan. He is probably the nicest guy you will ever know who has had no extra hand whatsoever his whole life unlike the Akmals of course.

Honestly Juniors lucky Mickey is not Pakistani otherwise (ie if i were the coach) would have dropped him straightaway but obviously would be the unprofessional decision. This kind of rubbiah ruins the dressing room atmosphere. Imagine had we lost and rizwan (great fielder) dropped a catch, aq would have been on TV like he was the oracle in matrix. Although if I were inzi would make a call to aq and politely point out to junior that team pakistan comes first and any reason to cause disunity in the dressing room will be eliminated.
 
If this is what he has to say about mickey I wonder what he has to say about Waqar?
 
Not gonna play this video. Don't wanna hear him speak. Lost many brain cells and almost went deaf already while listening to his commentary during that one t20 cup.

No, i disagree. He like every candidate has the right to promote himself for the job and in no way deserve the pathetic title of vulture. He has supported the team on many instances as well and criticized where due. I do not blame him if he has criticized Waqar who was just an utterly awful coach.
 
Rizwan doesn't deserve to be there, yes, but Qadir is putting it out the wrong way.
 
He must keep quite. Perhaps in this way he is more detrimental to Umar than anything. Umar needs to understand every player in the squad has earned his spot in the team and he will get in when needed.
 
Just because of this man I hope his son in law never see's the light of International Cricket ever again.

There are many methods of promotion, ones where you legitimate means and ones where you use illegitimate means. What Mohsin has typically down over the last 3-4 years is to continually mention the 3-0 whitewash as if it was his sole accreditation and almost every single interview he has criticised the coach, irrespective of who it was at the time.

He even had an opportunity as the head coach and he didn't perform to standard and instead of waiting for the next application term, he has continued to use the media to spread negative propaganda against the head coaches at the time.

Now please don't pretend to be naive and say he has always criticised fairly - there are plenty of threads on PP where he has 'vultured'. I can understand if you have only started following cricket since June that you wouldn't know much about MHK however if you have followed for a longer period then I'm shocked as to why you don't know this.
 
There should be sticky thread for the comments that Qadir gives.

Shoaib Malik is manipulator!!! He is most selfless player I have seen. Retired after scoring 200. Kami should not be play in domestic either. A total controversial person
 
There should be an inquiry on why this guy keeps getting airtime. Few days back he was criticizing the team selection and said he would have selected Danish Kaneria and Abdul Razzaq in ODIs. :)))
 
The only positive is that most viewers will listen to this buffoon and laugh at him and completely disregard his comments.

For his own good, Umar should immediately call back home to his "Aabbu" & request him to keep a low profile in media.

AQ's hyper analysis is not good for PAK team dressing room environment & Mickey won't like that his players are gossiping within small groups regarding what/who should be & whom/what not. I can sense how Arthur is going to react on this - he won't respond to those dross, he won't react to those "insights" (If Umar or Asad plays the dead rubber, it's because of a plan, not because of AQ's inquiry), neither he'll discuss with anyone on how to counter. What he'll do is, he'll ask Inzi not to consider Umar for the next series.

After almost shooting at own feet for a tango with previous Head Coach, it's better that Umar & his relatives behave properly, for his own good - he is standing on the edge of cliff & this can be his last slip.
 
Akmal is very close to getting back in the team if Rizwan does not score some runs very soon. So, Qadir should keep his mouth shut else it might lower Akmal's chances of getting back into the team.

Abdul Qadir is such a idiot. He needs to shut up and wear shirts that fit him. We are pakistan fans pakistan supporters not akmal fans or rizwan fans. I dont care which one of the two is in the team. Some of these ex players have so much allegiance to players that it makes them bias. We need more foreign employees for pcb so no favouritism.

Akmal is no 6 in t20 with rizwan competing. Rizwan is no 6 in odi with akmal competing. Competition is healthy let them both fight it out in both formats because it will just make our team stronger whoever wins.

Akmal is twice the batsman than Rizwan is and I actually like Rizwan more.

Akmal averages 47@91 in 5+ teams tournament. I know he is not as good as what these stats show but he is still better than Rizwan just because he has some performances in the past. Rizwan is yet to play a memorable inning. Can you name at least one memorable inning that Rizwan has played so far?

And I still laugh at what he said in 2006 when Pakistan had poor CT 2006. He said that all the ct matches were fixed & Pakistani Players name should be put into ecl & they should be arrested at the airport & taken into custody.:uakmal

That match winning knock against England in the last ODI, neutralised Malinga in the death overs, he is too young into his career, while Akmal, despite averaging good, didn't benefit the team, hasn't won a World Cup, and mostly choked when the team needed him the most, while Rizwan has those clutch genes, by giving him ore chances and confidence, he will easily surpass Akmal, even in such tournaments.
