Things can only better from here. It's hard to imagine us performing worse than we did today. But look at the bright spots(as hard as they may be to spot in this haze of gloom)

I believe that soon (within five years)Pakistan will have a World-class ODI team. Some of the ingredients are already there,i.e Amir and Hasan Ali,Shadab and Babar Azam,a very talented lot.Sure, these guys need to improve a lot,but we have readon to hope they do(as they are young and will gain experience with time)

Some of the young performers in domestic cricket need to be tried, surely they can't perform worse than some of the seniors?Umar Amin,Saud Shakeel,Farhan,Ahsan Ali,Hussain Talat etc should be tried and tested, and In Sha Allah they will perform well.

They will select these guys when they are totally ruined by our domestic and well into their 30s. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Bring in Imran farhat he scored a hundred in Napier he knows overseas conditions plus in 20/20 s you bowl and in ODIS you always bat unless it's a green top and plenty of cloud cover in Tests you bat always if you don't you need to get the brain checked.

Lol everytime someone creates such a thread we plunge into deeper pits of mediocrity. I am scared of such threads.

OP needs to read Mamoon's post in the other thread

no PSL will be platform for these youngster and they will force there way in team just like shadab

Lol. I was most disappointed at how Shadab was batting today. I really had high hopes on him as a batsman. The rest of the lot are mostly hopeless.

Sethis stubborness might end up killing psl too , he wants to play 4 matches of psl next year in pakistan. Lets see how things pan up.

Actions speak louder than words. Saying and hoping won't make it any better. The team, management and domestic cricket, all needs a major overhaul otherwise the root will continue

bro he is trying which is good we need in pakistan .Cricket is dying and these youngster need experience

in full jam pack crowd today clearly some of them were nervous

We always consistently manage to find a newer low to showcase... so no, expect even worse to come...

Um no I advocate dropping Shehzad,Akmal,Wahab and any other useless senior.Their presence in the team is/was a big reason why we are where we are now

You are in a minority. Majority of your fans have this "the only way is up" idea and thus keep persisting with totally average players --Shehzad and Akmals

Wishful thinking. Our cricket root is already infested badly and with no time we will be vanished from world cricket. Don't think we can even qualify to play next ICC trophies main rounds matches

I have read them and have also seen several posts and threads saying Pakistan Cricket is finished. We needed an optimistic view/thread.

How can you regenerate a tree which root is rotten? I used to optimistic but don't think any significant change will be there even after we loose all 3 matches in big margins. PCB will not sack Inzi who may recycle these useless players in next series.

I saw lots of useless players in PSL including Misbah who does not play ODI or T20 anymore. Besides selectors know whom to select even before PSL

Before being laughed off, the first half was actually pretty decent. Pakistan's fielding has improved, there were mistakes but this wasn't the overweight lethargic fielders of yore.

The fielding unit has the basics right, fix the catching and fumbles and this fielding unit is comparable with other top sides.

The bowlers did their jobs well, bar Wahab and the last 5 odd overs, Pakistan's bowling unit were on the ball.

The batting side......well thats a different story alltogether. But the bowling and fielding are there. They were against one of the better batting sides, 300+ was always on the cards. Its the norm these days.

Things will not change anytime soon.

We are light years behind the top 6 teams in terms of lack of talent, professionalism and team spirit.

These issues are way bigger than they appear to be. We wont see Pakistan cricket being competitive at the highest level in out life time. Mark my word.

Even if TTFs are replaced, their replacements cannot compete with cricketers of other top teams.

Pakistan is officially WI level now.

no things can and will go even worst if proper meaningful changes are not made.

The same thing was said after Champions Trophy 2013, World cup 2015, and World t20 2016, i hope it does get better, but alot of changes will need to happen.
