Quotes from Sarfaraz Ahmed presser in Sharjah

"If we talk about Pakistan batsmen in PSL, we see that Umar Akmal is playing well, Shoaib Malik has also played well such as Imam and also Misbah has played a good innings as well"

"An innings of this type [from Ingram] is witnessed rarely, and I have said this before that the inning that Colin Ingram played today, such as an inning is not seen so many times in T20 cricket"

"This was one of the best innings I have ever seen in my cricket career"

"So no praise is enough for that innings and whilst Pakistan players are getting runs, I am hoping that such an innings will be played by a Pakistani player such as Babar Azam as well"

The above are quotes from a question we asked him which was to think as Pakistan captain and tell us if he is worried that no Pakistanis are playing such innings as Colin Ingram did today.

What if he is unfit and incapable now. Just lik how Amir wasn't the same post ban.

His ban wasn't as long, and I think as a batsman it's easier to retain your skills than as a bowler where there are a lot of moving parts.

You're right about the unfit part though. He struggled with fitness before, did lose weight right around his ban finally starting to take it seriously, but let's see if he kept up with it.

Ofc, there's the whole moral issue.... but that has been debated to death already.

This is one of Sarfaraz's biggest weaknesses which i have seen numerous times. He is an on top captain, the moment the opposition launches a brutal counter attack he just wilts under pressure.

phenomenal innings by Ingram and mostly it was all about pure timing.

Has anyone asked Mickey/Sarfraz about U.Akmal's inclusion in the Pakistani team? There has to be some reaction after his good start.

From Pakistan, the new and matured Umar Akmal is the only one who can play such inning.

Umar Akmal in the WC squad is a no brainer.

Its not like as if we have many world class batsmen.

It wouldn't have mattered who the opposition captain was today. 100% credit must be given to Ingram who played a once in a lifetime innings.

Didn't he take up boxing or something to stay fit?

Umar has the shots, but lacks the smarts. Ingram was quite clever in that he knew the slower deliveries were coming so he pounced on those. Too many Pakistani hitters like Fakhar Zaman rely on premeditated shots.

Isn’t knowing the slower delivery is coming premeditated?

no captain in the world could have done anything about that innings, the guy scored 127* in a T20 game!!
and he did it flawlessly

Quetta did well to keep things quite on the other end and kept getting wickets.. but Ingram was devastating, one man army
