Spurs started the Premier League with a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle.
They finished second last season, so we might as well have a thread for them this time around. :danish

Okay, I'll stick my neck out and declare my support. I've been mocked before for why I support them, but here I am again.

I like them for two reasons: first, because I care about aesthetics and I think theirs is the most elegant uniform in the entire Premier League. Secondly, they are the perennial underdogs to their arch-rivals Arsene-al, and underdogs must be supported at all times (except when they're playing your team, which in this case doesn't apply because they won't ever take on Pakistan in a cricket match). This is particularly true when the underdog is more of a dark horse, one with an outside chance.

I hope they can win something this year, otherwise Kane, Alli and co will leave for greener pastures, which would be a shame, since they've got such a good combination for the last couple of seasons. It will be tough doing it at Wembley too.

Disclaimer: Everything I've written above is gleaned from BBC match reviews and three-minute match highlights. I don't actually watch footb... sorry, soccer.

Unlucky game, 3 tight decisions but one was definitely a handball.

Wembley still seems to be a problem for Tottenham even after they beat Dortmund there. Have dropped 2 points there vs Burnley and now Swansea. Seems like the last 2 seasons were their best chances to win the Premier League

What a night for them yesterday. Must have been amazing, let alone at a prestigious stadium like Wembley

Harry Kane is the real deal, remember Rooney was hyped to no ends and he failed to deliver at the biggest stage. Really looking forward to him perform in the World Cup 2018.

Spurs will most likely sign Lucas Moura before the transfer windows end. I think its a superb signing and for a bargain. What do you guys think?

He's a very good signing.

2-2 away at Juventus which is a very hard place to go. Spurs would be delighted with their performance yesterday. Wembley will be electric for the 2nd leg am sure.

What a game it was, Spurs outplayed Juventus after those two quick goals. The game at Wembley will be a cracker but im all for Spurs to win it. Spurs have a good chance to win the FA cup if they keep up these performances.
