Tour match between Kent [209/4] and Pakistan [168] ends in a draw

As usual, too much melancholy drama considering this is the team’s first practice game.

I love how whenever people say, “Shadab is getting a phainty”, he atleast picks up 2 quick wickets.

Keep it coming.

Soon I 'll see comments like..."Shadab and Amir are the best in the world...."

The amount of knee jerk reaction I see here is unbelievable. Give some time to the team, this is longer format there is no automatic switch in these bowlers to fix their line and length. It takes time.

4 dismissals, but not once fielders involved, which suggests to me that bowlers are still not out of UAE or PAK domestic bowling plan. This is England and early summer - bowlers have to bring slip cordon into equation, otherwise attacking sticks won't be sufficient against batsmen having far better defense and wickets with true bounce.
 
Another underperformance registered by Amir.
Amir and Ahmed Shehzad have been playing similar cricket and continued to get selected.
What are they going to do against international XIs when the bowlers don't do the job and carry the team into the ditch.

A poster replied on my post that 168 is more like 268 in UK conditions, now a county level team scoring 268 against our bowlers is a bad sign for a long summer. Then another huge gap enough to forget the teams defeats and then Inzamam selectes the same team again, voila.

Amir and Ahmed Shehzad have been playing similar cricket and continued to get selected.

Pitch is soft and unresponsive but that is no excuse for labouring away and feeding Denly half volleys.
 
How did they get out for 160 odd against this attack? And pak Bowlers bowling filth. Don’t see this team doing well against eng.

atleast he is pitching it up thats a start.
 
I think it's time to downgrade Amir's contract and give him a short sharp shrift for his continued non performance.

His heart is not in it for longer formats of cricket. Wants to play shorter formats and turn out in county and be with his family in England.

Frankly he's taking the Mickey with Pakistan. I rather they give Sadaf a chance, who is dying to play.
 
Poor from start to finish. Need to up our game vs Northants.

No but I'm thinking of going to the Leeds Test. May not be a long Test if our batting doesn't improve !
 
Stopped taking practice games seriously since the day Raina got a hundred in a practice match in England.
