What's new

Trust in God or lack of it

Right now I feel -Imo its good to have faith but also be thankful for people that are working day and night to help during this pandemic, not the leaders but actual physicians, scientists, compassionate people that are not hoarding or cheating others.

Faith will deliver you zilch. Humanity is reliant on a few hundred individuals who work tirelessly to improve the condition of the rest of the world.

If everyone had only faith in God to protect them, world population will be only a few millions. Not 8 Billion. Most of us would not even be alive if not for science.

Its called human error. Technology is ever evolving. Lots of companies advertise that their brand of product is the best. Its called Marketing.

Can you define the majesty of God? What is so majestic about this invisible sky man?

Human error yes, but why make divine claims? So now they live with that humiliation and are now a sign of ‘Ibrat’ (An example of God’s power). Not mechanical fault lol

Look around you, everything is the majesty of God. Your very existence is the majesty of God, for it is his choice that you breathe the air that he provides you. As I said, what is certain is the state of Death, life is the miracle.

Invisible man is what atheists believe in. Not Godly people

If everyone in the world was like Abdul Sattar Edhi (a devoted religious man), we would not have shortage of food and resources, and we would not see inflation of any kind. There would've been abundance of opportunities for everyone and no one would sleep hungry, no one would be homeless, and everyone would get free healthcare.

But it would've been a different story, if everyone would've been like Modi, Amit Shah, Yogi Adithiyanath, Bin Laden etc.

We all have the potential to do a lot of good for others, and also the potential to do a lot of bad to others.

It's then our choice as to which route we want to take?

We should make wise choices, because in the end, we will be responsible for our choices that we made on free will. You can throw in the religion in the mix or not - it doesn't matter.

Because there is evidence that the medication is the sole reason for your survival, and no evidence for any other explanation.

And medication is derived from resources which we are fortunate to be able to mine and harvest. Or maybe we are just lucky that life grows and evolves through natural selection on our planet rather nicely.

Faith- to hope my parents would not be affected, grateful to the ones working tirelessly for the cure.

It’s hard to be rational when it comes to family for me, I tried just made me bitter, so am choosing middle approach.
But i understand why atheists and agnostics have this view and rationally it makes sense to me, just that I m aware am not rational in this case.

Do you have proof of any major statement, claim in history that has challenged the majesty of the creator and has got away with it?

The Titanic claimed to be unsinkable did it not? 20 life boats loaded out of 60 due to the confidence that it would never sink.

Wow. Titanic is a new one.

Do you realize this God whose majesty must not be challenged, then comes across as a petty, vindictive, silly being with human qualities.

A human being who behaved like this would be resented and hated and their end wouldn't be mourned too much.

And yet God who is supposed to be far superior than a human.....:afridi

We all love our families and we want the best for them. The best we can do is to keep them at home and hope they do not catch the virus.

People like Edhi would do good irrespective of religion. Bill Gates donated Billions to the world too. There are good people and generous people.

Our future depends on the decisions we make today. No denying about that.
