Two decades of BOOM BOOM : Tributes to the LEGEND

On his day there is no better sight in limited overs cricket. Still has the ability to ruin the opposition bowlers.

Great knock today.

And officially ends his international career with his last match as Captain of the rest of the world team. What a champ! Going out on his terms and and on such a memorable occasion .

I don't understand what's the issue and why people cry about his stats lol. He has more than decent stats

If someone offers you 25(15-20) at #7-8 and takes 1-40 in his overs he will walk into most teams even today. Back then this was priceless

Because he played 145 matches as an opener and played 191 matches in top 5 position still could not manage an average of 25. He was later sent to lower order as he was useless at top.

Entertainer in truest form.
No other cricketer in his era could match his “entertaining” quality.
When he got going the whole crowd in the stadium and those watching on TV got going with him.
Boom Boom.

Fantastic entertainer and I'll remember him with fondness. He brought short bursts of joy to alot of us but was never skilled enough with bat and ball (though I think he improved his bowling immensely over the years) to be remember as a world class Pakistani legend.

I wish him well with his foundation and inshallah it will go from strength to strength. His foundation is more important than his or any cricketer's playing career.

Good luck to him in all future endeavours!

He started as a leg spinner who scored so quickly that people forgot he was a bowler first. He ended his career as possibly the finest LO all rounder ever and the greatest t20 cricketer of his time.

Not bad for a guy who got critiqued so much.
