Riaz Ullah was sent above Tayyab and Saad but he failed..

Pak U19 are 2 down for 159 in 30 overs.

Captain Saad Baig also departs now.

3 down for 162 now.

18 overs left. should score at least 100

Usman scored a century, a 90 and 77 today i think pretty consistent so need to cut some slacks about strike rates as long they are consistent at this age for now
Do we need another Azhar Ali or Ahmed Shahzad opening?? Imran Farhat??

out of 228 runs so far, 155 was scored by Usman and Shahzaaib. other guys are there for vacation??

Pakistan U19 set 245-run target for Afghanistan U19. Usman and Shahzaib were the only batters that scored runs, other batters were just passengers.

I wish this was shown live to see how he plays. Shahzaib has played previously and wasn't too bad.

Pakistan U19 secured a 13-run win over Afghanistan in the U19 tri-series match at the ICC Academy in Dubai

The win was Pakistan's first win over Afghanistan in the ongoing tournament after the latter defeated the former by 100 runs at the same venue on Friday. Afghanistan, after losing their opening batter Mahboob Khan in the first over, managed to build a 104-run partnership for the second wicket. After the departure of Faisal, Uzairullah Niazai and Faisal Shinozada, Pakistan managed to stage a comeback in the match thanks to right-arm fast Ali's two wickets in the 38th over.

Afghanistan were dismissed for 231 in 46.4 overs, with Ali backed up by Faham-ul-Haq (3-18) and Abdul Subhan (2-46). Shahzaib and Usman provided a solid 129-run stand for Pakistan, with Usman scoring an 88-ball 77, including eight fours. After the departure of both batters, only Mohammad Tayyab Arif, captain Saad Baig, and Mohammad Ahmed managed to enter double figures as Pakistan were dismissed for 244 in 49.4 overs.

Pakistan will now face the hosts UAE in their last group match on Friday, 22 November.

Much maligned Faham Ul haq with a match winning late spell hopefully he take that confidence to his batting now as that’s his strongest suite

Pacers have pace this time but they lack ability to pickup wickets consistently and no spinning or batting talent sadly.

The current trio of pacers are probably the quickest in the entire history of our U19 cricket

We only used to have one pacer at the U19 level capable of hitting 140k as his effort bowl but this time we have 3 bowlers who can bowl in early 140s and 2 of them are 6ft2/3 tall as well.

If you have watched the highlights then you can easily tell that they are quicker than Ubaid and Zeeshan.

We should have a swing/seam bowler to complete the attack , the current bowlers are just quick with not much lateral movement hence they’re not picking up wickets regularly.

But it’s still better than one star pacer followed by 2 trundlers like we used to have in previous U19 teams.

My first impression with last year bowling attack of Ubaid and Amir Hasan were really negative and I really hated the way they were trundling but this time it’s very exciting to see real pacers in the team instead of trundlers.

None of them bowl that pace, the only one who could be close is Ali Raza. I was looking forward to the highlights on YouTube to see Usman. Unfortunately he's another one without proper technique and all his boundaries were on leg side. The batting talent looks very poor.

They definitely bowl in the mid 130ks with their effort delivery touching up to 140k and Ali Raza May be even quicker than 140k.

I hope they are but I am pretty sure they are not close to it otherwise they would have performed better against a team like UAE who won't be accustomed to playing such pace.

Bro UAE team have extremely good facilities and they train with speed crank up to 145k at junior levels. They are accustomed to high pace bowling.

And if you have watched all the fall of wickets highlights on YouTube for all matches then you can easily see that the wickets they took were due to batsmen coming late on the ball or mis timing it and edged it or skying up , not a single wicket due to movement off the surface.

Ubaid bowls around 140ks

Ubaid bowls around 140ks
That was after the U19 World Cup, during the worldcup he looked much slower than all 3 pacers we have currently, even Ahmed looked quicker off the surface than Zeeshan/Ubaid , Subhan looked a touch slower than then other two but he still looked quicker than Ubaid off the surface.

Where have you seen bowlers other than Raza and the guys in the U19 WC

Yes they do seem tall, this is very positive. To win in SENA we need classical fast bowlers. There should be no compromises.

They need to drop Misbah ul haqs kid Faham ul haq. He should quit cricket. This kid can’t perform. Why they even letting him play..

Well he just won us the match against Afg. Seems quick too around 128-133K which is not bad for a batting allrounder.

He picked up 3 wickets.

Superb comeback form Pak U19. Batting let us down but the bowlers did a fabulous job once again.

This guy Ali Raza is brilliant.

I have no idea why they didn't selected Ali Hasnain Badshah instead of Farhan Yousuf and Haroon Arshad , Farhan never played any youth domestic cricket before and Haroon Arshad has a horrible youth record and looked awful in last U19 worldcup.

Don't even want to mention Tayyab Arif who is just a horrible every time I have seen him he never scores.
