If Salman Butt had to play against Lillee and Thomo, he would struggle to last a few balls, let alone average 30!

As good as McGrath and Warne were, Lillee and Thomo for openers like Butt, would just need couple of balls to get him to throw away his wicket

Salman Butt did every thing to make his team lose in previous couple of games by scoring 12 off 25 today and 22 off 36 the day earlier. Yes, in a T20 game as an opener.
Thanks to Umar their team still managed to win though.

Boss, to see Umar batting, I actually watched both the T20 matches that he blasted well. As a side dish I watched Butt as well. Before that in May, I watched him in List A also.

Now, Butt has performed horrible enough to be kicked out of his domestic T20 side, so PAK Cap is not even a question in T20. In List A, his performance was just not good enough for National consideration. Only thing left is Test match - he has a FC season coming, if he does exceptionally well, obviously there is a chance for him as 2/3 spots are going to be open in few months time.

Before that, there is absolutely no point of bringing data from past. Also, I am a bit surprised that you haven't put Sadiq Mohammad &. Mohsin Khan's stats in Australlia.

Pakistan team is not selected based on domestic performance.The criteria to be selected is only selector's choice or recommendations by any influential person. If selectors are not impressed somehow, even centuries after centuries will go invain.Fawad Alam, Tabish Khan, Kamran Akmal,Mohammad Abbas, Asif Zakir,Amer Yamin all these guys deserved chances instead of some current players based on their domestic performance over the years and in current season.

Kamran has had a special season, normally I'd say that same old story he has scored runs before and we've seen what happens to him at the international level but perhaps he has made some tweaks I mean I wouldn't know as I've not watched him bat and honestly I can't see him surviving at the international level but I could be wrong.
