whether or not he was dropped rightfully/wrongfully is a moot point now - its in the past
the fact is, he will need to perform to get back in the T20 team, and he hasn't performed with any sort of consistently in the last 2 years. in fact, his performances have gone down instead of improving

I admit Umar has charisma and he is a great showman. It is why many fans love him and expect him to do well. He is like poor man's Afridi.
But, Afridi was a frequent match-winner and Akmal is not. Akmal looks pleasing in the eyes but he offers close to zero substance.

Seems like a family trait as both Akmals are in the list. Not surprised to see Afridi in top 10, this would be the list of most useless players for Pakistan in last 10 years.
Not to defend Afridi, but he does have more innings on that list than anyone else. And his bowling was the primary reason he was selected. For both the Akmal's to make it on this list is telling. Especially remarkable for Kamran to get on with just 53 innings!

In T20's, Lala will be the first name on most team sheets. His primary role was that of a bowler. He was an excellent LOI bowler and for a period of 4-5 years was incredibly good.
Batting was never his forte, however, people expected him to win matches with the bat. It just didn't work out.
