I think the match is to start in a few hours from now. Don't think a lot of people remember about this match because of the Pakistan 'A' vs South Africa game.

This game will be a 2-day game, and I'm guessing Pakistan's 12 players (11 batting, 11 fielding) will be as follows:

Khurram Manzoor
Younus Khan
Misbah-ul-Haq
Adnan Akmal (WK)
Sarfraz Ahmed
Akbar-ur-Rehman
Abdur Rehman
Zulfiqar Babar
Saeed Ajmal
Junaid Khan
Rahat Ali
Mohammad Irfan

Not sure at all, though.

I'm keen to know who the batsmen will be. Most of our batsmen are playing the 'A' game. As far as Umar Akmal is concerned, I think I read he was in Pakistan?

Anyhow, the Pakistan team for this match will definitely be light on batting. Let's see how things pan out.

All the best!

who is going to open with our fearless lone opener Manzoor?

Who will keep as we have two keepers?

One of the most baffling selection for series. These selectors manage never fail to surprise us.

And guess what? we will have only 4 total batsmen in the XI with 6 bowlers :))) :)))

Maybe they took Sarfaraz for his DeVilier-esque batting :p

This is good! the lack of an opener and also the absence or azhar ali at number 3, gives younis khan some practice against the new ball.

Our lone star opener already out?
hmm way to go prove our selectors right.
Good you did because we know how poor our selectors have been lately

UPDATE: 69-1 after 23 overs

Adnan Akmal 39
Younis Khan 23

If Adnan Akmal is playing, why can't you play Umar Akmal in the place of Sarfraz Ahmed?
Is Sarfraz also ahead of Umar Akmal as a specialist batsman?

Good to see Adnan among the runs!

By the way, any updates re the Pakistan team for this match?

This is quite an impressive performance so far from Adnan Akmal. Really proving his worth in this test team :)

tbh scores against this UAE should not be taken seriously still i think Adnan should play the first test

Why did Adnan come in at number 3?

He came at number 3 cause the team that is playing UAE looks a bit like this..

1. Khurram Manzoor

2. Younis Khan

3. Misbah ul Haq (c)

4. Adnan Akmal (wk)

5. Saeed Ajmal

6. Zulfiqar Babar

7. Abdur Rehman

8. Junaid Khan

9. Mohammad Irfan

10. Rahat Ali

i dont think Akbar and Sarfraz are in this team , Akbar is with A team and Sarfaraz was not in 12 Man squad so he must be in Pakistan like Wahab and Umar Akmal , Pakistan are playing with 10 only

Well i guess this match is there to give our bowlers a run out more then our batsmen.

Junaid Khan out stumped for 7. Zulfiqar Babar is the next man in for Pakistan. He has been given one life or he batted twice in a single innings?

Surely selectors should look at the option of playing Shan and Shehzad opening...

Khurram is taking it lightly i guess , even rehman is getting half century

how can a batsman bat twice in the same inning? :yk

On the basis of 50s in practice matches? Khurram scored 2 50s in international test matches.

Well i know its sad but some people here are just looking for an excuse to throw Manzoor out and honestly i am baffled by this. He scored 2 50s in his last test inning(and 80 something in the last practise match) but everyone is out for him. I am not sure what he did to be treated like this.
