Unrest in Sweden over planned Quran burnings

Not really a surprise you agree with a hardline hindutva, you can pretend to be a moderate but it's just a different version. Only extremists think it's a good idea to go on the streets and burn holy texts. If this guy had followed my advice he'd be alive to enjoy his new country. But you want to support him 6ft under tells us exactly where your priorities lie.

No condemnation of murder but more victim blaming ... Keep em coming.

You can call me a an intolerant Muslim if you like, I am sure you are a very tolerant Hindu. But if this man had asked my advice if it is a good idea to go making public videos of him desecrating the Quran, I would have told him, bro, just go have a cup of coffee and enjoy your freedom in Sweden. Don't create hatred by burning holy books just to make a name for yourself.

If he'd followed my advice, he'd be alive today enjoying that cup of coffee. If that makes me an extremist, then I am an extremist I guess.
If Imran khan didn't raise his voice against thr army he would be living the rest of hid life in comfort instead of rotting behind the bar. So given a chance, I think you would advice Khan to not raise his voice aginst the army?

Sorry for your loss .

pls explain why this chap deserves sympathy from people who have only seen him spread hate after given the opportunity to live in Europe?
Let him find the appropriate ‘hadees’, Gita p.125, ch.47 v.31

I already said that taking the law into your own hands is wrong, it should go without saying that shooting someone dead is a criminal offence. The law has to be upheld by the state not executed by some random.

No I wouldn't I believe Imran Khan was fighting for a better Pakistan.

Do you believe this man burning the Quran was fighting for a worthy cause?

There are guys who believe that killing is justified because someone hurt their sensibilities, in effect trying to make dissenting openion vanish through fear. So depends upon whether you think fighting against that atmosphere of fear is worthy or not. To me, it's worthy, to you possibly not.

what happened to him is a crime. punishable by death penalty

In Sweden? Death penalty in Sweden?

debatable
No, it’s not.

you lose the plot when u equate murder to book burning

I’m not the one that picks and chooses what’s wrong and what’s right based on the law of each country.

You’re saying that it’s ok to burn holy books because the law in Sweden allows you to do so, but if he was in a country where the law didn’t permit him to do so, you would’ve said that he was wrong to burn the holy book.

hope idiocy like this is not hereditary

oh, he was angel he didn’t deserve to die, but let’s laugh at kids being bombed in Gaza. Foh.

In Sweden? Death penalty in Sweden?
Well whatever is the harshest punishment for murder in sweden.
No, it’s not.
yes. it is. imaginary beings and century old story books are not protected in the western secular world. don't like it? don't go there.

Legal. learnt he world legal. seems like a hard concept for islamists like you. I don't move to a country with idiotic laws which protects fairytales and imaginary beings

oh, he was angel he didn’t deserve to die,
thats right. he didn't deserve to dioe. I'll glady put him to death nice and slow.

Incident happened in Sweden. Guy who got shot was an Iraqi. Shooter's identity is unknown.

Why are Indian posters going nuts? It has nothing to do with them.

Because they seek to marginalize Muslims in India to revive the glory of Hinduism, using a narrative that dehumanizes Muslims.

It’s mostly Atheist’s, they talk about how law of the land should be followed in the west but cry about the law of the land in Muslim countries.

It's futile expecting any decency and civility from such extremists I posted above.

So you believe desecrating a Quran is a worthy cause. This is no surprise as many hindutvas will agree with you, as can be witnessed on this thread as they post support for the islamophobe. Although these same people will always find some justification when their own kind start ethnic cleansing in their own neighbourhoods or israel.

I on the other hand would never justify people taking the law into their own hands, this is something which a responsible state usually takes care of.

Man arrested after 'Koran burned' in Manchester city centre

A man has been arrested after a copy of the Koran was reportedly burned in Manchester city centre.

The Islamic holy book appeared to be set alight on a livestream on social media on Saturday.

The incident took place at the Glade of Light memorial, which commemorates the victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing.

Now police say that a 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

He remains in custody currently for questioning.

Assistant Chief Constable Stephanie Parker said, "We understand the deep concern this will cause within some of our diverse communities and are aware of a live video circulating.

"We made a swift arrest at the time and recognise the right people have for freedom of expression, but when this crosses into intimidation to cause harm or distress we will always look to take action when it is reported to us."

Man arrested in UK over alleged Qur’an burning

A 47-year-old man has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of a racially aggravated offense after a Qur’an was reportedly set on fire.

The incident occurred in the center of the city of Manchester on Saturday and was live-streamed on social media.

It took place in front of the Glade of Light memorial, which was installed to honor the memory of the victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing.

On the live stream, an individual tore out pages of a book appearing to be a Qur’an, before setting fire to each one. He also held up an Israeli flag during the broadcast.

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement that it arrested a man on the same day “on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.” The man, who has not been named, remains in police custody.

Assistant Chief Constable Stephanie Parker said: “We understand the deep concern this will cause within some of our diverse communities and are aware of a live video circulating.

“We made a swift arrest at the time and recognise the right people have for freedom of expression, but when this crosses into intimidation to cause harm or distress we will always look to take action when it is reported to us.”
