Despite Govt politely asking people to stay back and not attend Ashoora prayers etc - its seems people didnt listen and we have had a huge upsurge in cases - 841 new cases today.

I have nothing against people attending Ashoora remembrances etc but in these times? Was it necessary?

First of all, Gatherings shouldn't go on without SOPs.
But with Schools and Colleges opening, I think it was made compulsory for thousands of teachers to get tested for Covid. I think the upsurge is more due to this.

Apologies - the I should have clarified that this was Bahrain I was talking about - changed title

People have to listen to instructions. Don't gather in big numbers unnecessarily and maintain social distancing.

I thought about Bahrain for a moment.

A crescendo in Covid curve is expected in Pakistan for next few days and that I think is related to thousands of teachers getting tested.

Bahrain's era of Petrol Bombs in late 90s showed me how dominant were Shia Muslims in Bahrain. Sheikh Isa was a Ruler and Sheikh Hamad is a King.
