Afridi took a swipe at ICC chief Jay Shah saying that if he had personally visited Pakistan there probably wouldn’t have been so many demands or issues.

He also claimed that broadcasters were putting heavy pressure to make sure a Pakistan–India match happens “at any cost.”

He slamed Indian govt for bringing politics into cricket affairs, alleged that a small group is running the country, half “selling” it & half “buying” it.

The whole point should've been hitting Jiostar where it hurts. Idiots made it political.

I'm not sure why he's made it an ethnic debate tbh...cheap blow . What India has done to destabilise Balochistan and other areas cannot be replicated in India. Giving the sikhs land in Pakistan is only damaging themselves
Sure, and Pakistan is run by?

With both, no need to get defensive unless you're a janitor on the island. Ambani was mentioned in detail too, requesting young girls. No wonder his son is a fat pig.

I read that he was offered tall blondes. Or might have been young blondes, so much weird stuff coming out it's hard to keep up.

There were over 2 years of communication between them. Many redacted or not released. The tall blonde was Epstein's suggestion after Ambani asked his advice, to which he replied 'arrange that' 20 seconds later. Note ,Epstein used many code words, tall could mean small.

Gujjus are shrewd and business minded people. They are also very patriotic.

India is lucky to be run by these Gujarati people.

Afridi being a clown and joker as always, nothing surprising here to be honest.

I know you get 3rd or 4th hand info due to literacy issues but that guy is Anil Ambani , not Mukesh Ambani. Also while doesn’t make it better he allegedly asked for a Swedish model.

Also Epstein list contains elites, I would be more concerned about ground level grooming and exploitation in Britain. Of course you can show empathy to these victims too, nothing wrong but you get hyper about the wrong topics mostly.

I knew which ambani, sorry if Anil
Is your mamu . Ambani is a Gujrati name .

Indians like you need to show empathy for the millions of children raped daily in India first then you may be finally taken seriously

I am not related to Ambanis, I wish I was. However Ambani is a Gujarati last name but so is Jinnah, what’s your point? Not the same guy.

How come so few of them sign up to the army?
Fighting is not their culture. They are into business. Same with most South Indians. They are into academics.

Most Indian army men come from Bihar, UP, MP, Rajasthan....

Anil Ambani is irrelevant in India.. has been ridiculed more in India than anywhere else and as I know reading is not your forte , so clearing it out for you Mukesh Ambani isn’t Anil Ambani.

Any reason you are getting defensive over ur Arab masters and Madams getting named directly by Epstein himself?

Shahid Afridi was just a talented white ball cricketer who massively under achieved btw to still have a decent career. He's a good Islamic father to his daughters and his philanthropic work is commendable. That's where it ends for Afridi. He's not someone whose political rants merit a discussion because we know its coming from someone who is not very intelligent. Its as simple as that and it applies to many Indian cricketers also like Harbhajan, Sehwag etc. I am always interested in hearing their technical analysis and their comments about game strategies as they have played and won games at the highest level for decades, they're experts at that, nothing more than that.

There is a direct link of Epstein with Arabs than Gujaratis..
Just trying to undertand your logic here. What has Arabs to do with Pakistan or India in this regard? Or are you deliberately giving this a relgious angle?

My angle was response to the poster that defends Arabs and brought in Epstein.
What has Epstein got to do with Gujaratis or this thread, did you ask the person I responded to?

He is a clown and his roots meet in establishment HQ.

I will not doubt if he will be elected as MNA in next elections

Would take Gujjus over ****us anyday.
Yeah Gujjus are probably the right kind of people to be running this country right now. They tend to be smart, business oriented and no-nonsense. Probably the only chance they've had at ruling anything also. I'm not aware of the Gujaratis ever having a serious empire any time in history (Wiki says they had a brief flowering under the Solanki-Chalukyas) since they were always too busy trading as a maritime crossroads between the East and the West.

Plus as someone already alluded, two Gujjus determined the modern fate of the subcontinent - Gandhi and Jinnah. Both countries seem reasonably happy with what the two guys wrought so I suppose we can live with the new batch of Gujjus.

Apropos of nothing, I recently read (but didn't finish) Meghnad Desai's posthumous book - 'Mohan and Muhammad' about how the lives of Gandhi and Jinnah ran parallel for so long - both Gujarati middle class, went on study and practice law in England, threw themselves into politics and how they diverged...two guys who couldn't seem less likely candidates as flagbearers for their religion. Gandhi went on to borrow heavily from Hindu scriptures to inspire the masses - ahimsa, satyagraha etc. while Jinnah became obsessed with the modern, liberal Muslim identity.

FWIW , there is no comparison b/w Jinnah & Gandhi from a moral character standpoint. Jinnah stands heads above Gandhi there.. Gandhi gets a pass on a lot of things .

That's the Indian speciality. Shifting goalpost and going off-topic.

They are #1 at it. :inti

Self-accountability is a concept alien to them.

What a racist clown! This sort of ridiculous junk can only come from an ignorant buffoon like Afridi.

Pakistan is run by a single Punjabi! How does it feel for people of Pakistan?

Afridi was a happy go lucky guy who played the game with a big smile and a heavy bat. In a way he represents the average Pakistani, not too deep when it comes to politics and lacking guile. I think that is why Pakistan cricket fans loved him so much.

But he doesn't really have the head for politics and should stay out of it. Simplistic insults against Indians are probably harmless though considering they are the self-annointed enemy nation. It's gutter language they probably understand only too well.

I'm vaguely aware of this revisionist history being written by a bunch of right wing ideologues posing as historians.

Gandhi was a brilliant, principled, passionate leader, with an astonishing finger on the people's pulse, who played probably the biggest role in the closing stages of India's long freedom struggle. It's true he got a bit kooky towards the end drinking his own kool-aid on some of vaguely Hindu scripture related philosophies he was peddling. That's neither here nor there however on his 'moral character.'

Jinnah I'm less knowledgeable about but I don't think you can go singing about his moral character as his main strength though there's nothing really scandalous there...just regular liberal attitudes. If I had to single out something I admire about him, I would call out his unshakeable belief in his own convictions, his clarity of purpose and single-minded focus.

You can sugar coat it all you want and it wont change anything. Nothing vague about it and no need to get behind the right wing ideologues etc etc. Well documented by gandhi himself in his autobio and numerous other close confidantes and books. No need to be labelled " mahatma " because he wasnt. He was a racist, casteist, sexist, misogynist, per**** , appeaser for his own selfish personal things. Responsible for millions of deaths during partition. And probably the biggest role in the closing stages of India's long freedom struggle?? Well , as you mention, the biggest kool aid people are given. Was stain on history with his misdeeds. A person with a reprehensible moral character, no 2 ways about it.

On Jinnah - never said he had great moral charcter per se - what I said was compared to gandhi, there was no comparsion. Its relative , compared to gandhi. gandhi gets a pass on a lot of things which are very well documented. Jinnah did what he thought was best for Muslims and for his country unlike gandhi who did what was always good for "himself". Selfish to the core.

Reputation matters.
I think if someone like a Wasim has something very critical to say about India; it would certainly be something that would shake things up in India and make a lot of Indians introspect.

Unfortunately very few ex cricketers in our part of the world have a high reputation in this regard. Most have exposed themselves to be exactly who they are, small town uneducated boys who despite travelling the world and playing international cricket for decades remained paendooz.

Why blame someone for being what they are?
