Shadab has leadership skills. He's just suffering from poor form and his age means he could be the captain a few years from now, having tons of experience behind him. Unlike Babar, he has multiple skill-sets and players like that usually make the best captains.Babar and Shadab (VC) should both be removed from the leadership position.
Rizwan and Saud (VC) should be handed the reins.
He is a class-act and will surely score some big runs in this World Cup. Talking about his captaincy, we may see a change but it will happen after the World Cup.Babar needs to be kicked out from in team in LOI. Typical useless batsman
Shaheen in white ball, Rizwan or Masood (he may not score big but anyone’s better than dopey baba ) in tests, do not mention Safraz his more pathetic than BabaIf Babar Azam were to be replaced as captain who would potentially take on the role? Perhaps Rizwan?
I kept tell those who wanted to him be captain a few years ago, that he's too meek and simply isn't a natural leader of men. The outcome is what you see today but the end is nigh for his fans.
He is a paindu, i bet he just operates via duas and kismat. We have selected so many out of form players in the WC squad and we are now at the stage where we are carrying 6-7 players in the squad who are horribly out of form and the team management no longer has any confidence in. The team has not been selected based on form and the kind of conditions expected in India.
You cannot afford to have a cricket illiterate captain who can't think big.

Sounds about right. He hasn't improved much from his early years despite the fact that PCB have invested so much in him ever since he was a kid.
He's simply following the template Misbah set by taking on players in his social circle and playing for his stats. This precedent was set when Misbah despite to play for his half century and to remain not out during the Mohali Semi-Final in the 2011 WC Semi-Final.
He is a world class batter but not a captain and defenitely not a selector. He has been given too much power and has made sure his buddies remain in the team.
Contrast this to what India did. By 2013 India had already moved on from Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh etc. Mind you most of these players had played a vital role in India's win in the 2011 ODI WC but the Indian selectors to their credit do not get sentimental on selection matters, they quickly move on from non performers and select the players from their domestic circuit, bench etc.
I wish Pakistan had a similar ruthless approach
Shaheen currently is on the same route as Shadab (early stages)Shoaib Malik advocated for Shaheen Afridi as the next whiteball captain for Pakistan stating that based on his research and speaking too many players, officials Shaheen is a very aggressive positive captain who knows how to get the best out of players and that LQ have not won two consecutive PSLs for nothing under his leadership
