Highly impressed with his batting, seems a calm head and a street fighter. Has a gritty batting style and plays proper cricketing shots. One for the future?

TalentSpotterPk your opinions on the guy?

Karachi has the History of Producing Batsman.

Currently it is the City with Most Proportion of Population playing Cricket followed by Lahore but in terms of Young Batsman despite INEPT KCCA Khi are far Ahead.

Sindh is not a Small Province and More than 50 Batsman from Sindh Play in Pakistan Fc, List A & T20 Teams for Regions and Departments. Amongst those 50 these are the Top 6 in my Book.

1. Saud Shakeel

2. Shahzaib Hassan

3. Ahsan Ali

4. Mohammad Waqas Jnr (Right Hand Bat)

5. Saad Ali

6. Danish Aziz

I don't rate any other Batsman from Sindh.

Danish Aziz must Play FC Cricket this Season for Any Departmental Team. Hope he gets a timely Offer as Fc Season is around. Or He must Play for Khi Team atleast.

His Demeanour at the Crease is Very Similar to Haris Sohail. Cool, Calm, Patient & Confident and He plays his Shots with a sense of Ease. You don't observe this about majority Pakistani Batsman. Sorry to say our Majority Batsman are either Timid at the Crease or HyperActive and such players can never become Excellent of Great Batsman.

This is Failure of Our Cricket System that Players like Majid Ali, Haris Ali, Sheraz Ali & Yasir Mushtaq played Fc Cricket Last Season for Khi but players like Danish who was far more skilled and deserving than all of them missed out.

Once again No place for him in any of Khi Squad.

Very Poor & disheartening for the young man.

I hope He gets picked for Karachi in the upcoming regional One Day Cup.

Inzamam should keep an eye on him.

I cannot give you any search hint.

He is an excellent prospect.

Karachi has produced some excellent Batsman. Currently my top 5 include Ahsan (Sialkot) but product of Khi, Shahzaib (transformed one), Saud, Saad & Danish. Don't care about other players barring Fawad who I don't like personally because of limited shot range but deserves a go in Test Cricket on merit.

Why did u removed Mohd Waqas from ur list as u mentioned him in ur first post?

Oh Man. Sharp sharp memory.

Yes add him in the list Surelyyyyyyyyy.

I am sad that he had a bad FC season.

Seems like you have been silently reading my posts since long ;)

Thank you for reminding. I hope he does well in regional List A cup.

I hope they don't turn him in to a bowler was very impressed with his batting.

164 runs innings in grade 2 from him.

He must be playing all FC and List A matches in next domestic season. Too many players miss out on FC and List A Cricket due to lack of merit. Last season some C and D grade batsman represented Khi in Fc and List A matches while Danish wasn't given any game.

49, 220* & 3-63 in last match of his Grade 2 Season.

If he is not an opener he won't be getting chances soon.

Hamza Bhaee please don't mind. Since Sharjeel's prospective long Ban you are throwing every left hander in the opening Spot. So far so that you even proposed Hussain for that post aswell. This is not Gully Mohalla Cricket Yaar. This is International Cricket. A player should be selected for the position which is his fort for which he specialises and not to do something which is not his job.

Here I am only highlighting Danish's performances. This is necesaary. So that He gets his due share of Grade 1 Fc and List A Cricket something he hasn't been given in last two years despite being one of top 5 batting prospects from not a city but a Province Sindh.

Than if he performs at optimum level at Grade 2 than two to four years later He can make the cut for Int Cricket.

You have to plan for the future not just only look for Short term options to fix Int team.

With Kamran, Hafeez, Malik leaving there will be space for youngsters in future.

With Opening like pakistanigoneaussie or Pete Rose (not sure) my vote is with Shahzaib Hasan Khan because he is dynamic and more proficient against pace with Shots all round the ground and a combination of Ave & SR which is need of modern day Cricket. If he doesn't get cleared than I will stick with Fakhar whose numbers have improved in last 4 years but his game against pace especially his offside play has declined. This is due to poor coaching and poor drills. He dominated Irfan in his peak in 2013, at that time he neither had this ugly crouch nor this too much Bottom hand dependence which has regressed and limited his offside play. Still because he is top performer so he needs a Go in Int Cricket on Merit. Syed1

As far as future is concerned my vote is with these three guys (Read Post number 89)

I like shahzaib and was hopeful of a comeback for him. Alas it seems both Sharjeel and him might be out. I also wanted to see awais Zia and Junaid Ali in the upcoming pentangular cup. Sadly not too many opening batsmen to look forward to in this tournament

How old is he? TalentSpotterPk

Also where do you think Talat should bat?

Lastly what do you make of Rafay Ahmed?

He's baby-faced so I would say he's no older than 23. 'Officially' 21.

Rafay is all class saw him in SYD- a solid front foot game and has the capabilty to go big. Unfortunately hasn't been getting the chances he deserves due to his religion.

Talat is a middle order batsman- looks most at ease against spin.

That's great.

Yeah heard that about Rafay which is pretty sad. We're talking about playing for Pakistan here and not Islam, so if he has all the right ingredients then there's no reason why he shouldn't be getting chances.

Can Talat not work in the top-order? How will he fare at #6?

#3-5 seems to be booked in ODIs, possible even until the 2019 WC, so no point talking about that.

Saud's batch mate.

Also where do you think Talat should bat?

Need to see more of him in Pakistan Cup esp against pace through the off side to give a final call. Glad to see his progress.

Lastly what do you make of Rafay Ahmed?

Should be given chances in FC, List A Cricket. He is good. Him not getting picked for LQ Emirates squad is a big set back for his Career. It would be a miracle if he plays next grade 1 season despite averaging 45 plus in brief FC & List A career.

I haven't seen enough of Talat against quality fast bowling but he does look very comfortable against spin. I wouldn't try to turn him into a hitter when he isn't a natural one.

Alright.

Looking forward to seeing Talat in the Pakistan Cup, then.

I think he hit 7 sizes in his 140odd

Danish aziz is batting at 150 strike rate in final and is leading wicket taker too.

Thanks God he is a young man. I was afraid he might turn out to be 40 years old chacha Ji.

Abdullah719.please can you post video of his innings.

I couldn't watch the whole clip as Chisti made me doze off after the first minute or so. Hopefully he is a good future prospect.

TalentSpotterPk Guy has been picked in KK squad for that blistering innings in one day final. He has to showcase his talent now if given opportunuty.

Great start to the season for him. Comfortably his highest score in FC cricket:

NBP (First innings): 275-4 in 75 overs (Danish Aziz 84, 135 balls, 13x4s, Rameez Raja 57, 118 balls, 13x4s, Akbar-ur-Rehman 47, 77 balls, 6x4s, 1x6, Umer Saddique 24*, 45 balls, 2x4s, Kamran Ghulam 20*, 41 balls, 1x4, 1x6, Adnan Ghaus 2-80)

Excellent move by NBP to sign him and and to get him to bat at three; it's just reward for his domestic performances last year in the shorter format.
SarfiBabarHaris keep an eye out for him- reminds me of Haris.

40 ball 51 in the QeA Cup vs Peshawar to help his side post a winning total. Showing he is very adaptable to the match situation and can score accordingly.

Fantastic player, can change gears and can place any bowl for a boundary. He is another chase specialist, chased a 360-370 odd target with Fawad Alam last year.

Today was single batsman v the rest of bowling, Danish aziz, Asif Ali, Hammad Azam, Saud Shakeel and Sohaib Maqsood v the whole team. Some brilliant individual performances carrying team on their shoulders

KARACHI: Spinning all-rounder Danish Aziz returned astounding figures in a miserly spell of 4-5 as the powerful Pakistan CC trounced Student Sports by nine wickets in their fixture of the Prof Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament here at the KCCA Stadium on Thursday.

The slow left-armer’s four-over stint resulted in the Student Sports mustering a paltry tally of 79 all out in 29.4 overs.

Former Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed batted fluently to strike six boundaries and one six in his brisk innings of 49 to help his side race to 80-1 in only 9.5 overs.

Meanwhile, opener Jahanzaib Sultan and Adil Ijaz shared limelight as Airport Gymkhana sealed a resounding 250-run victory over Tariq Memorial Club CC in the day’s other match staged at the TMC Ground in Gulberg.

Batting first, Airport Gymkhana rode on a rollicking first-wicket partnership of 179 between Jahanzaib and Hurair Shahid to pile up a commanding total of 329-9 in their stipulated 45 overs. Jahanzaib banged a scintillating 123, while Hurair made 63.

Tariq Memorial Club succumbed in the face of the daunting 330-run chase by capitulating in 26.3 overs for a miserable 79 all out. The wrecker-in-chief was left-arm spinner Adil who snared five wickets for 19 runs.

Summarised scores:

Pakistan CC bt Student Sports by nine wickets at KCCA Stadium.

STUDENT SPORTS 79 in 29.4 overs (Adnan Shah Niazi 26; Danish Aziz 4-5, Akbar-ur- Rehman 2-12, Rameez Raja 2-14); PAKISTAN CC 80-1 in 9.5 overs (Sarfraz Ahmed 49, Umair Bin Yousuf 27 not out).

Airport Gymkhana bt TMC Cricket Club by 250 runs at TMC Ground.

AIRPORT GYMKHANA 329-9 in 45 overs (Jahanzaib Sultan 123, Hurair Shahid 63, Bahadur Ali 49, Mohammad Taha 38; Zeeshan Khalid 3-52, Azlan Imran 2-56); TARIQ MEMORIAL CLUB CC 79 in 26.3 overs (Abid Hussain 25, Tauheed Mushtaq 22; Adil Ijaz 5-19).

Decent knock today against a pretty strong bowling line up. It’s sad that he does not get too many opportunities because people like Asad Shafiq bat higher up the order.

Impressive knock of 59* under pressure. Deserves consistent opportunities in domestics as well as PSL where he warms the bench more often than not. Provides bit of SLA option as well.

Batted very well today when all looked lost.

Very clean hitting and never looked in trouble.

59* off 32 today. However, it’s not just the boundaries that were impressive. He barely played any dot balls. Also unlike Khushdil (though he doesn’t have his power), he can hit all around the wicket.

Good on him for grabbing the opportunity given to him with both hands. A match winning knock.

Impressive.... performed under pressure along with Hassan .......albeit Shadab is more complete player than Hassan.....

Superb once again.

Has come in several times with his team in trouble and has delivered.

Looks a fantastic talent.

Doesnt look fazed by anything. Never looks under pressure and remains in his own zone which I think are key traits to be a good finisher along with good power and hitting technique obviously.

Innings 8
Runs 220
Fifties 2
Average 73.33
Strike rate 154.92
Sixes 11
Fours 18

Was kind of a lone warrior for Sindh in some crucial matches and kept them in the competition by some really good knocks when they were struggling. Also took 5 wickets for them with his part time bowling.

He has a very poor domestic record, let's see how he does in upcoming FC season. It could be a fluky tournament for him
