You can see by the language used that you are one of those who think the problem is the Muslims in the first place. How do you know they are 'flaunting their religion'? More than likely the girl was just wearing her scarf because she wears it as part of her daily attire in the same way a Sikh might wear a turban.

Ironically I have given the same advice on here myself, but I don't blame the victims for it.

Look at it this way; what did this girl do to this guy and is there any connection? Well, when I was flying out with American Airlines from London to JFk airport. Some Indian and Pakistani passengers were screened thoroughly before boarding the plane. We did not object we could understand their fears - they were just doing their job. I did not wear any muslim attire I am very liberal person hwoever I can not change my name from Muhammad to some random English name (like some Indians do at call centers.). Racist people are everywhere. We need to educate ourselves in order to understand their mindset. Why do they react this way? Moreso, I have seen educated people behaving as racists so it is all about educating ourselves.
