In the latest review By Saj, the focus is on Islamabad United's performance in the Pakistan Super League, highlighting their strengths, challenges faced during the group stage, and their ultimate success in winning the tournament.

Loyalty and backing players: Islamabad United showed loyalty and faith in their players, sticking with them even during a dip in form. This approach paid off, as players like Imad Wasim turned their performances around and contributed to the team's success.

Momentum and winning streak: Islamabad United's five-match winning streak was crucial in their title-winning campaign. Once they built momentum, they became a difficult team to beat, and their confidence and self-belief grew with each victory.

Coaching Dynamics and Team Stability: Mike Hesson's coaching expertise complemented team dynamics effectively.

Key player performances: Players like Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan were instrumental in Islamabad United's success. Imad's experience and calmness under pressure, along with Shadab's excellent captaincy and all-round performances, played a significant role in the team's title-winning campaign.

Experience and calmness in crucial moments: Islamabad United's experienced players, such as Martin Guptill and Colin Munro, brought valuable experience to the team. Their ability to perform well in key moments and handle pressure situations was vital in the team's success.

Islamabad United's winning philosophy: The team's philosophy of consistency in selection and loyalty to players proved to be a winning formula. By sticking with their core group of players and providing support and backing when needed, Islamabad United created a strong team culture and achieved success in the tournament.

Momentum and confidence: Islamabad United's ability to turn around their form and build momentum was a key factor in their title victory. Their belief in their abilities and the support they received from the management and coaching staff helped them overcome challenges and emerge as champions.

In Season 9 of the PSL, the calmness I observed in Shadab Khan was something positive for IU, and I hope it will benefit Pakistan too.

Naseem Shah's role was pivotal for IU success this season. IU benefited greatly from their pre-season super trade off.

Very impressed with their selections and loyalty.

Most franchises would have dropped Imad half way through PSL9, but these guys stood by him and it paid off.

Mike Hesson and Shadab Khan gelled very well and keeping Azhar Mahmood also helped the team to go into the tournament with a clear plan. They seemed to always know what they are going to do with their team. Imad's form in the later stage of the tournament really helped them to win five games in a row.

Imad was the glue that made the team cross the finish line, Shabash cheetah.

At the start of PSL 9 Imad Wasim seemed a bit subdued with Islamabad United, as if he was shy and not very active with the new franchise. But later on the management of Islamabad United showed full confidence in him, which was evident from his performance.

Its more important to perform in crunch situations then unimportant games.

Cricket life is tough, all it takes is one bad game on a tournament stage to permanently ruin a player.

Hesson in our interview said it's not always easy for a player to go to a new franchise and start performing well straight away.

It took time for Imad to settle in, but when he did, there was no stopping him.
