Hasan Minhaj analysed the present state of Indian politics on Netflix's Patriot Act. The comedian is all set to face the trolls.

Hasan Minhaj got too many requests from his fans to do an episode on upcoming Indian elections and how could he disappoint his fans. He tried to break down the Lok Sabha Election 2019 for the global audience. On the latest episode of Netflix's Patriot Act, Hasan Minhaj analysed the current state of Indian politics and also took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The comedian was expecting a backlash as his episode starts with him discussing the idea with his family and friends, who think it to be a bad idea. However, he didn't listen to them and the episode is already up on Netflix.

Twitterati had a mixed response to his video. While some called it poorly researched biased report, and have started trending #BoycottNetflix as they aren't too happy with the episode. While others found it bang on and asked viewers to watch it before it's taken down by Netflix.

This is scary!

But Minhas better watch out!

#MajorHasanMinhaj reporting for duty

Jokes aside, I watched the episode, must say he was extremely neutral and portrayed exactly what's happening in India today.

Haha they gon call him a Pakistani agent, Hassan even jokes about it in the episode.

Damn good stuff finally someone neutral weighing in on the comedy show that has become India.

Wow! What an intelligent guy, really enjoyed watching it.

Seems as though we're having a "humiliate India" season.

Dammit, better watch it tonight before the Indo-cyber-warriors get the episode pulled from Netflix.

clowns and jokers make a living by attacking the strong and the mighty. As the saying goes..hathi chale bazaar..

And here comes the Indian Election Update by Hasan Miinhaj

What a clown Navika Kumar (and Rahul Shivshankar) is!

An excellent piece by Hasan! And it once again proves how gullible Indian electorate is! They deserve all the misery heaped on them by 56".

Been a fan of him for a while. Very funny and to the point. John Oliver and Hasan have made a mark combining social issues with terrific comedy. His piece on Saudi proves he's not biased towards his religion. Great talent

Finally took too long, loved his episode on Pharma companies as well.

Not many know but a man behind most of his writing incl White house speech for Hassan,is a guy named Prashanth Venkataramanujam an Indian Tamil descent immigrant .

Hasan has become an idealist, and its amazing to see Justin has become a realist, best on Canada.

He is amazing, it’s hilarious to see him nowadays. :))

Deserves his own thread, has become the best show even without audience probably because graphic department is excellent along with writing and great hosting.

The last few episodes deserve a lot more , absolutely amazing.

It was eventhough I feel he shouldn't had shown that Arabs were the owners of the shop, but it was very necessary esp the below

"When you became an American citizen you don't just get to own the country's excellence you have to own its failures".

Was an excellent show, unfortunate even netflix couldn't afford it unfortunately took on too many corporations too quickly.

Yea loved it. Also seems Netflix can’t seem to crack talk shows. Even Chelsea handler show got cancelled despite getting good reviews.

I think problem is that these shows are too much current event content whereas Netflix model is to binge watch when you have time then do a weekly following.

Even Hasan minhaj show I followed on YouTube and never watched on Netflix eventhough I have sub

Oh wow it was an excellent show tbh I wasn't expecting this I mean when we have tons of garbage late night shows with dumb hosts and even dumber celebrities playing Charades than I could definitely see a niche for these kinds of shows

Hopefully someone in the future can follow what he started and make a show like patriot act

John Oliver does a similar show but on a weekly basis

Which is also great, Jon Stewart was legendary with Daily show. And true this model wouldn't suit Netflix and most of them will just watch youtube even in that John Oliver got way more hits.

He is not a good actor so movies won't suit him, this quick wit human interaction show made him different compared to other such shows.
