For a team where individuals who were involved with grouping, match and spot fixing in past this is such a refreshing change.

Wow i love these guys and how friendly they are with each other. Doesnt seem to be fake one bit. Wish them best of luck. <3

They were united under Misbah too.

The results however, leave a lot to be desired.

Unity overrated, bunch of selfish players playing to their best would also work

May they shine and stay united forever!

They are full of talent and potential and need to get polished, once it will happen I expect Pakistan to climb up the rankings.

I don’t care about their bromance, want to see us win some games instead.

Unity and friendship can also be counterproductive because players can get too comfortable.

I watched the interview and I didn’t like the Fakhar bit. From what I can gather, he is poor in the nets, doesn’t listen to or execute plans and lives in the moment.

This pretty much explains why he gets out in the same fashion over and over again, goes big or goes home, and requires considerable luck on the day to perform. This is not a recipe for long-term success.

They also appear to joke about the fact that he gets hit on his head frequently - it is a clear weakness and it doesn’t look like they are overly concerned.

Admittedly, I am making quite a few assumptions here, but if we can assume their unity based on a 20 mins chat, we can perhaps also assume that they are not working as hard as they should be.

If Fakhar is poor in the nets, if he cannot execute plans and he gets hit on the head with bouncers, they need to get to the root of the problems instead of laugh about it publicly.

I think it may be a bit of bravado. I dont think mickey would allow such behaviour, he seems very strict.

Great to see this. I am not a fan of Sarfaraz, but one thing I like about him that he is not arrogant and egoistic like Malik, Younis and Afridi.

Safaraz comes across as a straight shooter,so you know where you stand with him, good or bad . Not like some of our previous captains who were very sly.

Would be nice to see their unity translate to more effort on the field. How about diving desperately to save a boundary and protect your bowler's figures?

Unity has not been an issue Once Misbah took control of the team pot Butt/Younis/Afridi/malik turns at the captaincy.

So for almost a decade, we have had pretty good team unity.

When they start playing selflessly for the country rather than selfishly that is when unity will truly come and will show through.

These videos will all look goody and fun but it is what they do on the field and how they show it through that actually counts.

Thats true too.

Though Babar has to change his mindset a bit when closing to a century Fakhar and Sarfray are few of the biggest team players we have in last 20-25 years since i am watching cricket.

The interview reveals more about Inzi than anyone else. Him saying after watching Fakhar bat in nets during champions trophy that "if I had seen his(fakhar) batting before, I'd have never picked him" shows Inzi actually doesn't watch domestics. Poor Fawad Alam, his fate would have been so different had Inzi not seen his batting but gone through his stats like those of Fakhar.

And Inzi's been our chief selector for 3 years. Only in Pakistan

Too much camardarie is not good. It results in no one giving tough love to each other when required. Sometimes infighting is necessary to fix things up.

What plans, that of "not go for another shot (after one shot)" which Babar reveals are never heeded by Fakhar? Glad he doesn't follow such plans, else the only modern day batsman we have will also end up as timid and lackluster like others.

As for Fakhar's net batting, they were obviously referring to his style of play (Flower and Inzi comments in particular), especially the aggressive ones, which are often unorthodox.

You can take your favorite 80s cricketer Imam with you, thanks

This video was obviously staged and created to boost the morale of both players and fans after being thrashed and winless in 10 matches straight.. shouldn't be reading too much into this..

Till when will we be subjected to Champions Trophy moments? Small mentality to keep reminiscing past glory.

Good video.

Obvious attempt at increasing the camaraderie, self belief and also the hopes of the Pak Fans.

This is correct but mamoon you know we barely have any talent in the country and that’s how we are as a nation lol so it’s not even surprising

It was actually shot in Lahore before they left for England

Steve Waugh and Shane Warne hated each other. Won the 99 WC.

WIN team had the biggest ego among themselves - Holding from Jamaica was opening bowling first with Antiguan Roberts, then Barbadian Marshall.

Grineedge, Richards, Lloyd, Kalicharan were mainstay of that batting for many years - one Barbadian, one Antiguan, one Guyanese and one Trinidadian.

New South Wales man McGrath can't be friend with Victorian Warne .....India won a WC with the team led by Delhi boy Kapil, then won B&H Mini WC with Bombay boy Sunny.... and trust me, there wasn't much love ........

Imran's players respected him, but they were afraid of him as well - I doubt, you could have seen his junior players "such united" with Imran, but watching them in field you could feel a group of elite commandos in a suicide mission ... this unite team is good at wearing champion mined wristband.............

Oh i thought they used to get the results they were looking for, that team with misbah's buddies like Azhar,Hafeez, ajmal, asad and others used to play misbah brand of cricket, and winning the match was probably never their intentions on number of occasions.

Btw, if i'm not wrong, Wahab recently criticized captain amazing for all the hysterical yelling on the ground. Wonder how Sarf feel about Wahab these days?

One thing I like about this team is that they are neither clowns like Akhtar, Afridi, Akmal, Shehzad, etc. nor are they timid like Misbah, Asad, Azhar, etc. There is also no backstabbing or constant politics like in the days of Wasim, Waqar, Inzamam, Yousuf, etc.

I have heard from sources that Inzi and Sarfaraz were behind Wahab's selection.

Good on Sarfi, seems like a man who doesn't hold grudges.

Wahab simply suggested that sometimes Sarfaraz's style of captaincy can be counterproductive and he's right. He didn't criticise him in an over the top manner or anything. It was constructive.

PCB's chief operating officer Salman Naseer speaking at a press conference at the end of Connection Camp:

“It was an open and transparent session, during which we got to talk to each other with utmost honesty and discussed unity, collaboration and how we can improve our communication.”

“Today’s session was held in this regard as well so that we can openly, sincerely and candidly accept, identify and ask for commitment from each other and makes demands so that we can improve our performance and also on how we need to work together as a team since it is a team sport.”

“We have a hectic schedule, and it was the right moment to sit together and discuss matters. There were three to four important things on which we did brainstorming and I think it was the need of the hour as we all know that the performance of either players or management can be improved.”

“Another idea [behind the Connection Camp] was that we sit together to identify the issues, things which can be improved and also our vision and what steps are needed to achieve it.”

“So, we built a roadmap on how we can reignite our excellence and what steps are necessary to achieve success.”

Infighting between Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen would make us peak Australia of 1999-2007

So the aunty that caused the issues is now playing peacemaker after the damage is done. Once SSA was made captain( as thick as he is), he should have stayed as captain for the WC. Once Babar was removed, he should have stayed gone. We have a lack of options and Riz at the moment is the only viable option for T20( as he is one of the few that is guaranteed to play) , Saud should be test captain and the ODI captaincy is anyone's guess

Why did Babar accept captaincy then?
