"Kashmiri Bhaiyo, dont worry, we are with you, I have a bat and I hit a six with it, now this (raising sword) will be used"

"If I can hit a six with a bat then with this (sword) why can't I also hit a human"

Think he got carried away a bit....

I feel intimidated as an Indian.

Wonder what Modi might be thinking

Thought he was professing for peace just the other day?

Troll him back by giving him an IPL Hindi commentary contract.

If only they had stood up to use these talvaars against the taliban, how many lives could had been saved........

We dont care for life. We dont care for muslims. All we care is politics.

I was about to post the same thing. We will now complain about Goutam Gambhir and his awful tweets but are we any better? Embarrassing.

NEW DELHI: After Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan threatened India of a war over the Kashmir issue, former cricketer Javed Miandad has also spread venom with a video of him going viral on social media.

Claiming to show solidarity with the Kashmiris, Miandad, while wearing the Pakistan cricket team's one-day jersey, is seen in the video saying if he can play with a bat and hit sixes, he can also wield a sword.

"Kashmiri brothers don't worry. We are with you. Earlier I used a bat to hit a six, now I can use this sword," Miandad said in the video while brandishing a sword.

"If I can hit a sixer with a bat, can't I kill a man with a sword," the former Pakistan captain added.

Earlier, Miandad had also said that he will visit the Line of Control (LoC) with other sportspersons from Pakistan who were willing to join him. The former Pakistan captain said that they will hoist a flag for peace at the LoC.

"I will go to the border for peace. I will call all the top people, the sports people and everyone. I will go there and tell everyone about peace. I will go with a peace flag. I will tell people that we want peace and we are with the Kashmiri people," Miandad had said in a video posted on his Twitter handle.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi had also said that he will soon visit the LoC to "express solidarity with our Kashmiri brethren" following India's decision to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the state into two Union Territories -- Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Now this confirms that cricket bats are actually swords. Batsmen use them to deflect missles.

Miandad atleast has the guts to stand up to the Indian Cricketers taking pot shots at Pakistan whereas the likes of Wasim and Shoaib keep folding their hands and begging for forgiveness

Javed is very patriotic and I can understand his passion and showing solidarity to Kashmiris.
However, the sword bit people are taking too literally and out of context. I am sure he means in DEFENCE of Kashmiris suffering brutalities from Indian forces.

We all know it’s happening and the blackout their is obviously for a reason. I have family in Kashmir and people are disappearing, women raped, torture, children suffering. So what Miandad said may not probably help the situation with India, his jazba and passion you should understand. He’s not going to actually do anything and is nothing compared to what butcher Modi and his forces are ACTUALLY doing.

Miandad was always a very passionate guy. I think he should enter politics. He can join Imran Khan's party perhaps.

Yes probably your right.
More about Kashmiris suffering. I want peace and am sure all Kashmiris and even Javed (as he is the talk of this thread does).
However, if my life, sisters, brothers, family or friends was under threat then I am sure most like me if not everyone would try and defend themselves be it with a sword or whatever. Doesn’t mean I don’t value another human life but if someone attacks you then you retaliate and use whatever weapon or means available to defend. Enough said!
